Corporate Development Memo (7/16/2023)

Hi everyone!

Sorry for being a bit later this week but I was out a bit late with friends and just rested a while longer today!

I wrote this on Discord before and I think here too, but my little vacation helped A LOT with me.  I really needed it.  I am feeling good in a way that I haven't since Episode 5 work.  (my favorite time ever working on the game from a pure enjoyment aspect)  I also got the chance to meet some amazing professional game developers and seeing their passion and energy makes me realize how much of an amateur I am, haha!  

I also apologize for slower work these past 10-12 days or so but I feel like it has really helped me moving forward.  I will try and speed up a bit more once August hits and I feel I am hitting my stride.  Having said that, right now I am at about 657 renders and 21,000 words.  I am getting pretty far in the script in that I have now moved on the sub path.  I really feel like it's hard to stay within 1,500 renders without feeling like the story hasn't progressed enough, but I will just keep going until that number or so and plan the best I can :)

I am not showing a specific scene I am working on now but the one above will likely only be seen by a very low amount of players.  But we shall see!

I will also put together some dom path ideas for maybe Tuesday.  You should send me ideas by Monday if you want to have them considered.

The sub gentle poll was basically a blowout, so I found that interesting even though it was the one I thought would win...the sub harsh poll was so much closer.

I have only a tiny bit of work left (just play testing which is very fun but I have to take notes) for my NDA and I'm getting pretty caught up on clients.  We've expanded again with two more staff so it REALLY helps.  I'm pretty tight with labor cost and business expenses (my business partner might say I'm too conservative and tight fiscally haha) in general, so we really did need it.  

Anais for those that didn't know had to move out of her place and will be staying with a combination of her family and my own apartment for a bit while she decided if she wants to buy a condo or rent another year or two and save up more.  It could help the game a bit if she stays at my place sometimes as she would have access to my computer (much faster).  Also, I am starting to shop for a new computer but a friend of mine is telling me to wait a bit more for the best deals.  If anyone knows any good deals, let me know!  My desired specs:

                            Above all, ability to stay cool under heavy load.

                            RTX 4090, 128 RAM, 2X2 TB SSD or 4TB SSD, 

                            AMD 7950x 

                           (not the special one for games not sure what it's called)
