SUBJECT: Karlsson's Gambit 0.5 Update

Hi all!

I'm posting this very early where I am as I am outside most of the day!

I'm going to finish one big scene (a "fashion" show) by tomorrow or Monday.  I've been kind of "waiting" from 0.1 actually to get into the meat of my first ideas for the game, so 0.5 and especially 0.6/0.7 for me is when I am getting to do my own personal favorite scenes!  If anyone remembers a while back when I did a road map, Update 0.8 is the big one.  In that update, you will be forced to diverge down a certain path for Act III of the game with less ability to change loyalties, so keep that in mind someday!

My new artist this week is almost done with his scene, his building where he lives actually had an issue, so not formally including his total this week, but he's still doing great and working hard!  Very happy!  I'm trying to get long-term one good scene a week from him (between 30-50 images) to augment our own totals.  Near the end, we might speed up a little together.  (If most of you know me well, I tend to ratchet up speed the last 2-3 weeks and get in a zone, etc.)

Polls this week:  

1) Monday I will post the two person poll -- this will involve Dominique/Katsumi!  I will try and include about 6-8 scene ideas.

2) Wednesday - 3 person poll.  Now for this one, Juliette and Delilah won, but Kane/Olivia tied, so I am just going to include all four in about 6-8 scene ideas.

Both polls will be short timed (3 days or less) so I can start working on them ASAP.

The $1700 poll I will likely do the first week of June.  I have about nine unique submissions from people.  This post down the road may have to be broken down into multiple posts (depending how well I can shorten the verbiage down to summaries for voting).  I will try and include all nine.  I definitely love a few of them personally a LOT, but this is your page, and I am curious how people vote!  I will work with that person if desired, and about half of the nine wish to be anonymous, and the other half don't mind...so it just depends who wins.  I am writing one scene before another to compensate for this poll so I can write it after we see who wins.

I sense I am flying through the script this update.   I feel like I am going to finish the entire script way ahead of the renders, and spend the last part of the update only doing art/renders constantly.  Sometimes when you want to write, you write.

The end of this month will hit the 2 month mark.  My best comparison for two months before is Update 0.2, which took me about 9 weeks to do.  I had 657 renders and I think about 24,000 words (sorry I should have looked this up).
