I gotta say, without getting TOO personal and specific, growing up baptist with a ton of religious guilt and programmed ideals of "good" vs "evil," "right" vs "wrong," and "sin" vs "forgiveness," Bojack Horseman was what I NEEDED as a teen to pull myself out of self-destructive shame and fight to live and be better. The idea of a person being "good" or "bad" is an unforgiving ultimatum that robs humans of agency and nuance. It is NEVER too late to be better. Just as much as the harm you caused cannot be erased, neither can the good. If you keep living, you have the entirety of your remaining lifespan to bring more good to the world. It all starts with throwing out your notion of what your "nature" is and choosing what your impact will be. You can't control the world, but you can control YOU. Sorry, don't mean to get too deep, but hearing you react strongly to that line during the Peanuts bit of "it's never too late" really made me want to dig into that and what impact Bojack Horseman had on my life. I cannot WAIT to see your reaction to the rest of the show ♡
