One of my favorite arcs as well, excited for Impel Down! You've already guessed at some of the reasons, but I'm also a sucker for prison break stories in general.

The Gates of Justice connect Impel Down, Navy Headquarters (Marineford) and the now destroyed Enies Lobby Island. Actually... we've been hearing about Impel Down ever since Enies Lobby, as Robin was about to be taken there... if not for the Straw Hat's daring rescue. Also... i could be mistaken.... but i think you are under the impresion that Blackbeard is in Impel Down... if that's the case then i must clarify that he's not..... he's in the Holy Land Mary Geoise, with the rest of the Warlords.
