Didn't PB say "fatality"? I've heard "fatality" every single time I've ever watched this episode, and that's a lot. I thought the whole joke was that Finn said "finality" but the arm misheard it as "fatality" so it activated fatality mode.

2025-08-05 03:06:49 +0000 UTCWe've come at last to the Original Season 8 Finale.... and this one is probably the most heartwrenching Finale in the whole show. I will say this here and once again in the near future..... Fern is without a doubt the most tragic character in Adventure Time, He's Finn... straigh-up just Finn, but he was turned into a Sword due to Prismo's crazy plan to resurrect himself... then he was consumed by the grass sword... becoming "Fern" against his will, now he's a Finn that no one else recognizes as such because there's already a Finn in this dimension... everyone he ever knew and loved at best sees him as a stranger or at worst as an impostor or a monster, giving the poor guy probably one of the most extremes forms of existencial crisis. And not only that.... he's also being controlled by the Grass Demon to always be bloodthirsty and violent. And what is the point of Finn telling him to just "be himself" when he's just Finn as well? and if Fern "tries to be Finn" everyone else is just gonna tell him once again that he's not the real Finn. our Finn is basically telling him to make an entirely new identity and personality from scratch, that's unbelivably difficult... if not Impossible to do. "He felt nothing", oh i completely disagree Mikey, i think he felt A LOT of stuff when Finn said those things, probably a little bit of conflict.... but most likely just pure indignation and anger.... for Finn to call both of them "brothers" (while well-intentioned) was pretty much a subtle confirmation that our Finn doesn't see him as "Finn", which is who he truly is. I can't even imagine what it's like to live through all of that, i have nothing but sympathy for Fern.
