it makes sense.... each of the powered-up 4 Elements is characterized by one of the 4 Temperaments... Sanguine (Candy): outgoing, sociable, and enthusiastic.... but also impulsive and difficulty to focus on one task for long periods (Exactly like BMO). Melancholic (Ice): thoughtful, introspective, and sensitive... but they can be prone to anxiety and may be overly critical of themselves and others (Jake has shown to be very introspective at times, but it is not his strongest personality trait). Phlegmatic (Slime): calm, steady, and easygoing.... They are loyal and reliable, but can sometimes be passive or indecisive (this is the one that definitely caters the most to Jake's personal flaws). Choleric (Fire): assertive, ambitious, and driven... However, they can also be impatient and may struggle with frustration when things do not go their way (Finn is first and foremost... a Hero and Warrior, so it makes total sense that Anger is the emotion takes over him the easiest).

2025-07-23 20:39:46 +0000 UTCcommenting this before i watch bc i’ve been waiting to say this (lol) so sorry if you addressed this, but the most interesting part of this entire miniseries to me is what elements each character is susceptible to, bc they seem to be tied to differtent emotions. bmo immediately accepts the fun/happiness of candy, jake almost falls victim to the sadness of the ice kingdom and gives into the “chillness” of slime, and finn is overtaken by the anger of fire
