It's really cool that you remembered Martin's story! I didn't pick up on that the first time. It's like his story is maybe a weird version of reality? Or at least there's some truth to it? At least possibly. I mean, they are humans, and Finn was registered on the island as "infant Mertens", so it stands to reason his parents are from the island, and Finn had to get off the island somehow, right?

2025-07-02 01:34:10 +0000 UTCsmall correction... that map is not a map of the world, it's a just a map of the Continent of Ooo and it's surrounding waters, when we look at wide shots of the planet itself we can see there are other large masses of land, although none as large as Ooo. The episode where Martin was telling Finn the supposed story of how they got separated on a boat is "The Visitor" from Season 6.
