2025-06-25 23:29:07 +0000 UTCYup, as you guessed the impostor family in The Copycats is based on the family from the real chinese Gumball bootleg "Miracle Star". This is also the reason why there was no Anais copy, as Miracle Star was made in China when the one child law was in effect, and thus it doesn't have an Anais bootleg (Darwin's counts as a pet). And the goat milk joke is referencing the bootleg being made to promote a brand of goat milk. This episode was the show's way of calling them out and shitting on them, and it's absolutely amazing! Also, as of the end of the episode, introducing Nicolas Cantu as Gumball and Donielle T. Hansley Jr as Darwin! Though Jacob and Terrell will briefly return in The Fuss due the series order getting a little messed up behind the scenes for some reason.
