You can really confirm that Normal Man has changed by the fact that he can now actually use the Martian Transporter beneath his house. He couldn't use it before because it was specifically stated that you need to feel love in order to activate it, which Magic Man couldn't do due to his madness and sadness clouding his mind. Tho it is also interesting to note that the reason why Magic Man became mad and sad in the first place is precisely because of love..... his wife Margles was consumed by Golb... which obviusly traumatized him deeply.... and then... he made an anti-Golb magical weapon in her image, only to lose it as well when they both fell down from Olimpus Mons.... which is presumably the event that finally broke his mind. It's actually real nice to see him beginning to take the road towards atonement/redemption. Oh and also..... Glob is not dead..... despite the episode "Astral Plane" making us believe that he was. Oh well xddd.
