the way they explore fate in this episode and the next is really interesting. the vampire king wants to step out of the cycle, but he cannot stop what has already been set in motion a thousand years ago. it seems that ooo/earth is “trapped” in a loop, with certain things coming to pass over and over again no matter what. i love the vk so much, i believe i’ve said it before but the concept of his character is so cool

Also... in case you didn't notice.... the Vamp King mentioned the 2 Tarot Cards he represents during his monologue to Marceline..... the Wheel of Fortune and the Chariot. The Wheel of Fortune denotes cycles and loops, looking at the bigger picture and signifying turning points in life. All of this elements are present in here as the VK wants to overcome the Wheels of Fate and the repetition of history by curing his Vampirism. The Chariot on the other hand is dictated by Victory and Dominance, Willpower and Determination and overcoming obstacles via Dedication and Grit. All of these elements are also present in the VK's character... unlike Marceline who adapts to the cyclical nature of the World... the VK wants to break fate, to be above it... tho getting frustrated when he doesn't achieve it.... which is kinda the reason he acts like a manchild at the end of his speech. To put it in simple terms..... The Wheel of Fortune Card is what dictates the VK's motivations, while the Chariot Card is what dictates his Behaviour. Oh.... and Good on you Mikey, i think you're the first Adventure Time reactor i've seen that noticed that the change in the VK's voice is because Finn was kicking him in the nuts xdddddddd.
