Finn and Jake are great main characters... but they also do great as comedic relief side characters in this mini-series xddd. I love the Adventure Time team decided to depict the Vampires, because they based their designs and personalities on the Tarot Cards they represent, and not just their regular meaning but also their "Inverted" meanings..... Like the Hierophant for example.... which signifies respect for pre-stablished rules as well as traditions.... but it can also mean stagnation, of both body and mind, which is perfectly exemplified here with this character. And to answer your Question.... Hierophant's weakness is purely due to his own belief. Just look at the Empress in the previous episode.... she strolled right into Ice King's home without permission and she was perfectly fine. The Hierophant was just limiting himself by blindly following the "Old Ways", that's why Pep But was making fun of him.
