Huh... i didn't know about the Futurama VA's reunion in this episode...... that's pretty cool. although.... even if the scene of Finn with noodles in his mouth it's meant to be a reference to Zoidberg..... i think it is also meant to be a reference to the Lovecraft Universe and the Cosmic Horror Genre in General. Just think about it.... a tiny dude who crawls out of the only world he's ever known, and when he comes out he finds gigantic beings of inmense power (from his perspective) and when he looks at one of them in the face he's terrified....... That to me it's remarkably similar to some of the stories of humans coming into contact with beings like Cthulu (which is referenced by Finn having noodles sticking out of his mouth, simulating tentacles).

2025-02-06 01:00:31 +0000 UTCYep, this was, in fact, a Futurama reunion episode, airing a year and two months after Futurama's second finale, and featuring both Billy West and Tress MacNeille performing some of their iconic Futurama voices (as well as Finn with noodles sticking out of his mouth, somewhat resembling Dr. Zoidberg).
