When a story is barely receiving any votes for some months I remove it from the chapter poll. But of course, If people wants to see it return I can always place it back. I only assume that there is no interest in a story when it receives barely to no votes.

Stating that its always the same stories getting attention while some simple vanish into obscurity. I know, the voting system is anything but perfect. Its the one I used since I started this Patreon thing. I too can sometimes feel frustrated when I'm burning with passion to share a certain story, yet see it hardly getting any votes. If that happens, I always assumed that the story just was not good enough. That it does not deserve more than to be thrown in the garbage can with a dull thud. I mean, why else would it have received barely any votes? Perhaps the suggestion you're proposing is a wise thing to do. Or it could be smarter to completely overhaul the entire voting system into something new. Or I could take it a step further and remove the voting system altogether, letting me decide which story to go with... I'm relieved that you expressed yourself instead of quietly stuffing your feelings down and walking away. That way, I can try to come up with a solution or at least ruminate on the matter, as I'm at a loss for what's the best course of action right now. Its impossible to satisfy every patron. To be frank, despite the monetary rewards, I write purely for enjoyment. Writing about malicious women reducing people to minuscule sizes so they can be bossed around and diabolical supergirls conquering planets is what I love to do, and I want to keep the thrill of it alive, otherwise I doubt that I'll have the motivation to persist with it.
