Some people have asked where this mod went: I decided to retire it from public release after realising, during an update a few months back, that I was making too many personalised tweaks that wouldn’t suit everyone’s gameplay. However, I’ve made it available to members only for those still interested in using it.

I created this mod because I don’t enjoy navigating through countless menus to configure the game, so I wanted something simple and plug-and-play for managing walkbys. This collection of mods handles most tasks automatically, though it does offer some customisation.

The core functionality keeps Sims within their designated region. Sims with a home will only appear as walkbys or venue visitors in the world where they live. Celebrities will only appear in celebrity roles and if the Celebrity Hangout Zone Modifier is applied to the lot.

Homeless Sims serve as flexible options to fill roles and jobs, appearing in various locations unless restricted. You can even assign homeless Sims to a specific world using the mailbox:

Once assigned to a world, that Sim will only appear in that world much like a resident with few exceptions (roles like the maid, firefighter, repairman etc can pick Sims you have restricted if no one else is available).

This mod doesn't stop the random generation of townies. If you have a mod that stops it like my private filters, though, you need to have a fair amount of homeless Sims for the roles to be filled.

Another function of the basic mod is to restrict certain Sims as walkby entirely:

If, for example, you have a Sim you want to stop from appearing around because it won't fit their story, you can use "Disallow as Walkby" to keep them from spawning.

NOTICE: if you stop the random generation of townies, the only region that isn't entirely handled by the mod is Selvadorada. Assign some Sims as Natives or the barman may not show up:

I can't because those options (restrict as walkby and nightclub) rely on the system that blocks sims in their region so I can't separate them.

can you make a separate file only for individual sim "Disallow as Walkby" option? and option to prevent a list of sims to spawn in night clubs. I just want that micro-management without restricting every sim to their own world. (Because i want to allow certain world crossovers, like San Myshuno and San Sequoia, and the three base game worlds. I pretend multiple worlds are the same place)

I don't understand why you think this won't be popular as it is. It's okay to make mods that are entirely personal and without considering what other people want, and telling people to accept it or make their own or don't download it. If you create mods because you enjoy making mods and programming, then don't start doing it for the money or for the people....I think the worst thing people can do is to take something they enjoyed from their heart, and begin to focus on how to please others instead of pleasing their own heart. This leads to depression and other forms of misery and discontent and other problems making life less enjoyable to live. You do you, but I hope you don't worry too much about whether something is what people want. I am poor af or I would have already began paying you, I will see what I can afford when I get paid and have anything spare to spend, to at least make a one time donation

Sims that are resident in other worlds (living in homes) cannot appear in other worlds but sims living on street (like for example the homeless premade celeb or the homeless werewolves) can appear everywhere. To stop them assign them to their world from the picker on the mailbox.

They do the same thing in different ways, might not conflict but both is overkilling.

Hey, thanks for the update! It looks like the filters are not working for the new world. I tested a few worlds and I can only see the locals spawning, but the second I enter Innisgreen I see Sims from everywhere spawning, both homeless and outsiders. Just FYI ! <3

Thank you for mod, but it broke The Mountain Climb Excursion event its 0/0 sim and after processed to next location its just not continues
