New unemployment mod: CV or Resume?

I decided to go with Resume because everything in Sims 4 is standard US,  and make the Cover Letter take the place of a second CV

Comments

I don't think so... there isn't here (we just call it CV). I've read somewhere that a CV is something more academical in the US, and resume is more like your regular CV here.

Is there a difference between a resume and a CV?

Ceara Ivory

Yeah I did this in game too (the cover letter is another thing you need to write... And you need to write it every time you contact a company because once you sent an application the cover letter will be consumed)

There is another difference. In the US you never send your picture with your resume. In Europe, at least on the Continent, you almost invariably send a picture. On top of that, there is a very different treatment of your resume if include a cover letter. Resumes with cover letters get better treatment. Just sending a resume is considered 'lazy'.

gets added automatically if the sim quits the job... if they get fired they'll be penalized

I'm Canadian (don't know if there's a difference between US in this case) but I've never heard about there being any distinction. Judging by the responses already CV seems a lot more universal. My only question/suggestion is if your Sim changes jobs, maybe there could be an option to add that experience?

Already works on a quality stat

I don't believe I have two words for this in Swedish, not that I have heard of anyway. We usually just call it CV. But I believe this is used for both long and shorter ones. I think it could be cool with two versions, but I don't know what other name it should get in my language. Hmmm... Maybe if you could just decide what level of energy you wanna lay on creating the CV. Like many things in Sims you could go back to it end edit it to make it better quality. First attempt should maybe not always be very good.

Curriculum Vitae or CV in France too. I'd be ok with resume but, no offence, the CV is more classy :D

KaruMy

I think either is fine. Both would be cool too, especially for more ambitious sims vs lazy sims.

Alex

P.S. Totally NOT trying sound like an entitled American.

Mic Mathers

I only say resume because I'm American, but otherwise I would say either but not both. CV doesn't get used much here and "resume" is synonymous for both here. Using both with different weights, would confuse a lot of U.S. players. Also CV is rarely used here.

Mic Mathers

I say whatever u are used to or whatever is easier for you. Im happy with either one honestly

Sis

I'm American but I knew what a CV is, I'd be fine either way.
