Utility - Death Interactions
Added 2020-10-26 23:45:44 +0000 UTCSince I use them in a lot of mods and I don't want to make duplicates, I decided to keep them all in a shared tuning file. I'll start posting the updated mods for this change briefly.
Keep this in the same folder as the other mods.

Sorry for my late reply, Faith. I had a crazy day at work today. For the vampires can kill mod to work, you must add extra files in your mods folder. You need the 0_Zero_SharedTuning_DeathInteractions.package file, which I think you already added, and you also need the xml injector. Have you put the xml injector in yet? You can download it from here, https://modthesims.info/download.php?p=5568744 Once you download this, you can use 7zip to extract it. 7zip does not go in your mods folder. It is just a useful app. The xml injector however does need to go in your mods folder, but you must unzip it first. Have you ran the installer for 7zip yet? Once you have the 7zip installed, you may proceed with the next steps. Once the xml injector is downloaded, go to your folder app that lets you view all of your files. Right click on it and there should be an option that says 7zip. Hover over 7zip and another menu should appear. There should be an option that says "extract here." Click that and then you should be good to go. Once it is done, double click the xml injector. Two files should appear. Drag both the files, (XmlInjector_Script_v2.ts4script) and (XmlInjector_Test_v2.package) into your mods folder. After doing this, let me know if your vampires have the option. Also, keep in mind that in order for your vampire to own a cattle, your vampire must have the "drain life spirit" power unlocked. If this doesn't work then I will teach you how to run the xml injector test.

I am assuming you're using windows because wordpad is a default windows app for opening multiple types of files, but I could be wrong. If you are using windows, then most likely the best one to download is the first one, called "7-Zip for 64-bit Windows x64 (Intel 64 or AMD64)." The exe file is probably the easiest one to download. The reason 7zip is important is because it allows you to extract zip files. A lot of people group their files into a zip folder. In order to access the .package files from within, you need a zip file extractor. 7zip is one of the best ones. Let me know if you want more information on that and I'll send you some links. :)

Just click and drag it into your mods folder. If you double click it, it'll try to open, which we don't want. If it is placed in your mods folder, then Sims 4 will read the file on its own. There is nothing more to do. 7zip is useful for extracting zip files, not package files. At first I thought you were referring to a zip file. If a mod that you download ends with ".package" already, all you have to do is drag it into your mods folder. The game will open it on its own whenever it needs to. Have you installed mods into your game before? I will write another comment explaining 7zip.

2021-11-08 17:44:58 +0000 UTCHey Faith. I'm not as good as Zero, but I think I can assist you. Are you referring to the zip file? Check the file extension. If it is still a zip file, extract it. Use 7zip. Here is a link: https://www.7-zip.org/download.html After that, instead of opening it, just drag it into your mods folder. If you open it, it will just attempt to open it with whatever you have made that file extension's default app, which in your case, seems to be wordpad. Don't open it. Just drag it.
