alrighty, just became a patreon to add this comment and im pretty sure im not the only person sick of waiting for an update for ANY of the townie mods, theres an issue with the ROLES file which has in my game personally has caused sims to completely give up on social lives, long story short, they start any form of social activity, including helping children with projects, then just before it ends, T pose and then delete the activity, aswell as the rest of the list of stuff youve told your sim to do AND it doesnt give ANY friendship points, if i wanted a forever alone sim this would be great but sadly i dont, by taking the ROLES file out everything is perfect except for the fact i get randos spawning again through jobs like mailman paperazzi and such, and im looking for ABSOLUTELY no sim generation at all, it already irritates me that you cant stop santa from breaking into your home onces every sim year then deciding to stick around like hes wanted and that the dude running the stall in strangerville needs a debug to get rid of him, also what gameversion is this for? ive just updated to 1_96_397_1020 and im pretty sure people have had issues with this due to the newest game updates, i apologize if i sound a bit off but id really like to play the game without multicoulored, un colour coordinated potatoes in the latest designer bin bags making my worlds look untidy, ive tried both the npcc mod which no longer works for the same reason and im not a fan of the mccc, it just doesnt do what im looking for

Did you install all the files? Can you check in what role are they being generated?

I love this mod,however,I see there new random generated townie spawn at Tartosa only.

I noticed that all of them are homosexuals. I don’t know if that’s the filter that needs to be fixed.

I have the packs xmls but not the pack... If you find out what role they're being generated to fill let me know

I have looked into it. I couldn’t find anything useful. They were completely random sims with random traits and no roles filled. It’s probably coming from the HSY since it’s working fine for you!

If you can use ShowSimInfo to tell me if they have some hidden trait or if they're filling some role I can track down the filter generating them

I have this mod in testing right now, keep an eye on the updates post. This takes a while to test and if the roles generating these townies are from the new pack i cannot verify which ones are the culprits (so far I haven't seen any random in game, but I don't have HSY)

Thank you for your efforts. However, ever since October patch came out, I have some townies generated every game load (around five homeless families). I have updated my files and replaced the old ones that used to work perfectly, and I can't find the problem!

Yeah, let the player assign all NPC roles from our pre-made sims no EA randoms at all. At the beginning of a new game. Would solve everything.

This mod is causing a "failed to load" error after the most recent patch. The error triggers when I try to travel from my home lot to a bar lot. I've got the injection tools, and I've removed my other script and tuning mods, so I don't think this is caused by a conflict. When I remove this mod, the error stops.

That's not a problem with the mod it's the mod working as intended, use a mod that allows you to select your own roommates.

Sadly I have a problem with this mod , at university if my sim move to a dorm, no roommates generated or move in sooo lonely X) I didn't use any other mod and without it everything working again, also tried to delete just "Zero-FILTERS-E08-DU-NOGEN" file and working too (I mean just university part of this mod) , ofcourse in that case the game fill with random generated townies the dorm, but I can deal with that now. So can I do anything ? I have to make single households ooor something wrong with that part?

This stops the generation regardless of the number of Sims you have. If you don't have enough, roles will not be filled.

thanks for this. i want all realistic sims in my game. but is 150 sims enough to really stop it?

This is amazing! I've been looking for an alternative to NPCC for a while, as Paulson, unfortunately, doesn't seem to be around anymore. I've done the same as LotusAngel, adding townies to my library and setting up MCCC to use them. Thank you so much for this!

I love this Mod and after setting it up with MCCC's, I have absolutely no randoms. None. This gives me only the Townies from my own Library and I've play-tested (Yes, I sat here and played it that long) for a good 48 hrs. There were no Maxis generated oddly "My Mamma forgot to show me how to put my pants on the right way" dressed townies dropping in.

This would depend on the singular mod, I can't do a tutorial that teaches how to update all of them.

I would gladly drop NPCC for your system in a blink of eyes. Besides the little problem with active careers (I didn't test science or detective yet), your way works definitively better. Only necessary to no townies roaming the streets and venues make the game run so much better. Oh I forgot to tell that I had 3 tourists in front of my celebrity's house, but they were residents dressed with that ugly outfit. No big deal.

Npcc has a way to force the game to pick sims only from the household you chose. The problem I have with it is that it goes around my modifications to the townies allowed in the Magic Realm whatever I set it, and turns non occults sims into occults despite my filter, so I can't use it.

So the game is not picking sims from the world for that, either. This happens when you stop the random generation and the game is out of sims to pick. In any case you wouldn't have lost anything since you only need to remove the mod for sims to be back. I'll exclude those sims from the mod too.

So ! The mod is excellent, truly. No random NPC especially in San Myshuno, no useless townie. Residents were used to fill mixologist job when needed, without losing their "real" job. Good. But actually the mod is TOO good: No NPC are generated for the actor career, so it's now unplayable. I had only 3 of my co-stars, no makeup artist, no producers (even though they're always useless), and no director. I used to save my game before entering the actor set, so I didn't lose anything. Besides this problem, everything was great. Keep up the great job.

You're doing nothing wrong, you can say that's intended behaviour... NPCC has the same issue on some setting... you need to put more jobless sims in the world.

Dont know if iam doing anything wrong but with your mod no townie jobs are beinb filled. I traveled to several neighborhoods and the different types of venues , all had no workers. Removed your mod and jobs were filled. Nothing in my mod list conflicts with yours tunning.

nope, this is just a filters override. I'll see if I can do the same for some townies. I love npcc too but it's giving me a lot of problems.

can you assaign townies like you can with npcc. love that mod but the author has been mia for two months with no word so i am looking for a alternative.
