Ask For Divorce!

Big fan of your work. Is it possible to do an update of this at all? Doesn’t seem to work with lates patch and love how realistic this is rather than making it so easy for a divorce

The most likely cause is that the test in the interaction doesn't pass because of the relationship requirements (same as maxis, the interaction only appears if the relationship is in red)

Hello. I cannot for the life of me get this mod to work. I removed all my mods and CC, with only the mod and Lot51 Core Library, and I still don't get the option for divorce. I added Xml Injector as well because the comments here made me unsure if I needed them both or just Lot51 Core Library. Still didn't work. Might it be because the Lot51 Core Library recently updated their mod?

Any mod that modifies the divorce interaction will conflict with this one. I don't know lumpinou mods so I don't know if there are that conflict.

This mod doesn't work anymore in my game,I put it in the mods folder I have XML injector also installed but it doesn't work it doesn't appear in my game anymore,maybe it needs an update?

Remember that this mod is not compatible with any other mod that modifies the divorce interaction. Before reporting a problem like this one, please test the mod alone. This is almost surely a conflict.

You mean the autonomous divorce? I think you can make it compatible just by taking my mod and altering the "ask for divorce" interaction to be autonomous the same way you altered the maxis interaction, then upload that... But you don't need my permission to do it, I allow the altering and redistribution of my mods.

Is there any way for you to add to this mod a friendly divorce option that works exactly like this one but without affecting their relationship? could you also do something with children? like the court decides who keeps the children after the divorce?

It is not working even when I remove every mod I have. Can you please make a video? Because the instructions are unclear for what files to download. There are 2 XML Files you can download and I do not know which one. I need step-by-step instructions.

Yeah found the issue it was Autonomous Breakups that it was conflicting with, it is working now.

For people having problems with this one, check that you don't have others mods changing the divorce interaction in any way.

I just checked over mine as well, my XML injector is fine as I have other mods that use it. I can get through all the steps even get the papers. But the divorce for 5000 is missing as well on my end, l only have the reg divorce option on it.

I put everything right but it does not work I do not see it anywhere no mailbox, no phone or computer and no interaction resulting from a divorce equipped I missed something?

Almost the divorce procedure has passed. Divorce papers have been sent and read but there is no "divorce (5.000)" option. There is only an option from the game "divorce". (I have XML Injector)

I don't know... Some things are based on relationship points and some others on relationship bits. Replacing the relbit would be easy enough but won't work for things based on points (some jealousy reactions for example)

Hey zero! I have something of a question. Would it be at all possible with how the game is to have a “taking a break” option for a relationship. I’m using lms first love mod just because I thought it would be a cute storytelling option Having them be together from childhood but I wanted to spice it up with them like taking a break in adulthood but every other option like breaking up, just friends isn’t exactly what I want. Like I want them to part and maintain romance and still have some type of relationship marker so they can get back together eventually. Sorry to bug but I had to pick your brain a little

I have installed the XML injector the way that was described by Scumbumbo but it doesn't show up anywhere. I don't even get the XML Injector test option on the mailbox. So, I can't get this mod to work sadly

Yes, this mod without the injector will just make the option to divorce disappear. The injector is nothing else than a script like the many script other mods force you to put in the game, only that is a shared library more mods can share to avoid having too many script in game.

Can you make it where the one that is being divorced not except the divorce. Such as contest it or have them go to counseling (in a rabbit hole) and the outcome of the determines if the divorce is granted. Just a suggestion. Great mod and great way to make the game more realistic. (smile)

Hello, I love this mod... Seeing it's a Divorce Mod I instantly had the idea to make a similar mod but for Marriage. As in: People need to send a request Write some papers (both Sims to make it realistic, if it's possible) And then both of these Sims will leave the lot (into a rabbit hole) where they sign the marriage contract! This is great, this mod is something I never thought I'd need in my life but I'm glad it exists hehe ><

Perhaps an interaction could be added to the divorce papers for "arrange custody" and you could choose weekends or summers and then, depending on the choice, every Friday or every summer the child(ren) are automatically sent "away" and show as "at other parent's house" in the UI, or a permanent hidden buff could give a social interaction with their child saying "send to other parent's house" that would send them "away".

Thank you!! This is a great update! Would it be possible to include a separation feature in addition to a divorce option? If sims divorce will players be able to arrange some sort of split custody? I've never had my sims divorce before specifically for this concern. :)

left the autonomy off... I've yet to understand how to tune it properly, there are many factors affecting it displaced in a lot of tuning inside the game... the interaction is a mean one so it would be a bit unpredictable still if tuned only with the preferences set in the interaction itself.
