RoM - Untamed Magic Is Untamed! (Spells Master Post)

REQUIRES: Death Interactions 

Originally I only wanted to edit the Inferniate spell... but then, I decided to go crazy with it...

This is a master post to collect all the spells, Inferniate, Chillo and ZipZap are now deadly.

Inferniate:

The target will burn for a long time and in the end, will drop dead.

ZipZap:

Will cast a lightning that will kill the target on the spot

Chillo:

Will freeze the target to death

Version 1 - Always deadly

Version 2 - Deadly only if the caster is Charged

Pick only one.

make sure you don't have conflicting files, my batuu unlocker for example.

Hello Zipzap does not seem to work but the other spells can kill. I have installed the v2 of this mod and then the Vampire witch untamed portion as well. Do these 2 conflict with one another?

Alana's neighbor refuses to die. They've zapped, burnt, and frozen him solid so many times but he's still standing. Did Maxis change death again or is it just my game that's wack?

Nope, that one is all new tuning, conflicts with nothing.

Yup, you need both. the one from vampire magic only includes the vampire spells.

If I have Zero- VampireWitches_Spells_UNTAMED, do I still need one of these ones or should I remove the vampire witches untamed one? Think Im starting to have to many of your mods hehe.

Yeah... they changed the death function... again wtf!

I dont believe this mod is working anymore again. Every kill no matter when or where ends with the sim not actually dying. Could you please look into this or offer a possible solution?

No. They kill outside it both on lot and off lot in my game, though. Maybe you have an outdated version of this mod, try updating.

Hello, the spells only kill when the sims are in the Realm of Magic. Is that how it's supposed to be? English isn't my first language so, sorry if it's a dumb question.

Yes... Try redownload and reinstall again... The same thing happened with another mod lately... Patreon may be corrupting the files on download (it does sometimes)... Let me know if the problem persist and with what version of the mod.

Hey zero, im having a problem with the mod, is the mod's intallation simple as just pasting the file in the mods folder? Because i cant seem to make it work, i click the inferniate, chillio, and zipzap interaction nothing happens, thr action does not register it just cancels it.

It stopped working a while ago and was updated because ea changed the way death works after DU. Try updating.

Hi Zero, I'm having an issue which I tracked down to your mod... Since I've installed it, all deaths are not "registering". Basically, a Sim dies, the Reapers comes, the Reaper Reaps and instead of becoming a Ghost, the Sim is back to a normal state. Though it is removed from the lot (becoming homeless) and household (becoming unplayable), it remains alive in the relationship pannel and can be invited to hang out on current lot, can die again (to no avail), etc...

Wow, just wow! The more I read about your mods the more I'm impressed! Thank you very much for all these great mods. I'm not a modder and have no clue how difficult it is but I have question pls: The "off-grid" lot trait which comes with "Island Living" - I hate it. Normally the idea would be soo great (for me as a storyteller round about fantasy/medieval/castaway) BUT if I use this lot trait all my sims get uncomfortable. Washing hands, take a shower, and so on - I ask myself why EA did such a shit. Why should a sim living on a off-grid lot not have a normal water quality situation?? More or less stinky and dirty water on these lots - really EA??? Well the question is if you can create a mod which changes these bad moodlets? Best regards from Austria

off lot means out of the boundaries of the active lot... they will not 100% die, you still have the chance to extinguish them or that someone will.

Sorry, I'm not so familiar with the term "off lot". Would to mind to explain to me, please? That means that, if I'm in my house lot and some NPC in other world, on his/her house because some accident gets on fire, they will 100% sure die? Or off lot means when I'm in a lot that is not my house? I mean, I would like to have the mod that allows me to kill them using Inferniate, but only when I choose to.

I'm so stoked for this mod! Makes it much more worthwhile playing as occult's. Quick question, how difficult would it be for the 'murderer' to get a buff afterwards? It'd be cool if they get a happy/confident buff if the target was an enemy and a sad buff if they were neutral or a friend. I'm not a modder so I've no idea how tricky it is but just wanted to pass on my thoughts. Thanks again, I love all your mods!

I prefer using the separate files myself, but if it is easier for you then I can choose from the full pack in my game.

As I get that part of the code, the test pass if the sim is or is not on the active lot. I tested it off lot and it worked. I used the same test on the other death interactions and they do work off lot. The only one that doesn't is inferniate, because it calls two interactions. It doesn't matter how I set the test on the onfire interaction it never passes off lot, if I go directly to the death_fire one they die off lot, but then.. they don't burn. You can verify it yourself, I don't mind people editing my mods.

Hi, I love this mod! Do you think that you can erase the "location test" part of the code? I've already done a mod for making the "Siren's Call" deadly and I had to erase that part of the code because, otherwise, I could only kill Sims if they were on the limits of the active lot. For example, on the Fire Death you will find the piece of code I'm talking about in line 554. I think killing Sims is more fun if we can do it everywhere! :D

I lost 5 games when this pack came out and was furious with maxis but because of your brilliant mods and your hard work my sim has made it beyond virtuoso with no problem and the game is playing like it should. I have every mod you make. Thank you so much .......

There is no difference in the interaction tuning between charged, over charged, and dangerously overcharged in the outcomes, beside the fact that some of them increases the chance to fail. the outcomes are only 2: normal spell and charged spell, I assume all the charged states use the second one... that's really not so much powerful, just gives longer buffs.

I suspect that with V2 it's only deadly in the charged state, but is non-deadly in the over-charged and dangerously overcharged states.

Hi ! First thank u for your hard work with this mods and fix. The last update of this one does not work properly for me. Except for inferniate, the other 2 spell does not work on my household members but only on npc

Simply deadly in version one. In version two it depends on the charge a caster have.

There is already Vampirism is fun for vampires, you can find it on MTS and it's compatible with my mods.

hey wasn't sure if this was possible, maybe you know.. I tried to find the tuning myself and make the mod, however, was curious if it was possible to unlock the spellcaster adept levitated reading on all books for spellcasters of that level? I think it's cute and shame once you master the book levitation you can't do it will all books. any help on finding the right tuning to unlock it or making it would be cool if possible.

the damage is associated with your rank and traits? or simple deadly?

They can be saved from inferniate (you can extinguish them) not from chillo and zipzap. I could try to tone it down though... I think it gives the player more control like this, because you're sure of the outcome..... With a random chance you're not.

Thank you for this Zero! Quick question though since I don't want to witness too many deaths. Is it a 100% death chance or is it only a possibility ? If so could you eventually make a toned down version (still with a chance of death)?

Thanks for your mods <3 I thought it'd be cool to have an option so that it takes more practice(and whatever you do to gain magic skill) to actually level up to master etc. I think it is too fast and easy.

OH MY GOD YES! Thank you so much! I had my fingers crossed someone would do this! I also wish we could use those curses from Jungle Adventure as spells against people. Would be hilarious to have contagious screaming sims :)
