COLORS! Loved loved the contrast. Not used in the muted non expressive way we saw with starlight but in the color of life that is absent in their world. Then it gets brighter and more colorful as they apply the lessons and bringing the community together. It’s beautiful. And nice ensemble of new characters, world building, and the animation wasn’t off like it initially seemed. Amazing and satisfying!

2024-12-02 20:48:58 +0000 UTCDefinitely one of the best specials, I loved the symbolism of color and happiness, very intelligently done, I loved the new characters, a lot of the fandom love this special because the new characters, mlp introducing new characters is so cool, Kerfuffle was adorable she’s probably my favorite new character in this special I see that her leg is missing and has been replaced it’s really cool to see disability representation in mlp, not many cartoons show that, all the characters are great and mayor sunny and petunia petals love story is very sweet more romance in mlp is awesome! i wish there was a scene with their wedding, one of my favorite things about this is that the contrast between the gray and the colored it’s such a cool effect it makes everything go from dark to super colorful it just stands out so well it’s beautiful, the animation I enjoy better than the 2017 movie just cause it’s more cartoon looking this is definitely easier on the eyes to get used too and less distracting, the sense of community is beautiful rebuilding that is what goal was, definitely reminded me of the episode with coco and rarity, I know some people wanted a villain but tbh I think the hopeless thing was a very important subject to talk about, so I very much enjoyed this special the mane 6 were perfect and the new characters were awesome and the music was amazing too.

2024-12-01 00:21:30 +0000 UTCI still think that "the best gift ever" is a better special for being more creative with its plot, humour and overall density of events, but this one is also very sweet. Maybe it's just the effect of my expectations. Love to see an art style from the movie by the way, helps to add more good atmosphere.
