Hey the mane 6 did their own thing when they had to redecorate twilights castle ☝️ I loved that speech about then future. Gave me chills 😭 And Yona! Been loving her more and more. That’s why the young six are the future and great way to talk about her diversity and equality between different species. Yes! Yona and Ocellus are my favorites but much like the mane 6, all have their great and bad parts. Maybe except Gallus but I understand his upbringing and society. Very underrated episode in my eyes and I’m really loving and coming around to the young 6!!

Ed

yeah that is true.

- Some notes/thoughts/facts: - Superhero landing! https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/mlp/images/1/14/Silverstream_does_a_superhero_landing_S9E3.png The Young 6/Student 6 have some nightmares... wonder why Luna didn't appear, but it might have been obstructed by the Spirit of the Element of Harmony... talking of which... it was still able to manifest... That was suprising. Yes, the wiki says, the "Young 6" but some also use the "Student 6". "Are they still fighting it (The Everfree Forest)" - That might be the case... I would even guess the Pillars are back again on it, or they found a solution like 1000 years prior, as they planted the Tree of Harmony. Smolder: [huffs] "I wish that Sombra guy was still around, so we could teach him a lesson!" - Nah... it may be better not..! Twilight Sparkle: "Well, as long as you get permission from your kingdoms, I suppose it's all right." Gallus: "You want that permission in triplicate, or is one enough?" [beat] Gallus: "What? I like to be prepared." - Now we know why he had the purple elemental aura like Twilight 😅 Sandbar gets ahead of himself and cleaned the whole cave... but instead of working together... which would have represented the bond and friendship of the Young 6, which definitively would have honored the legacy... they decide to do their own... - Well... they're still young 😏 Gallus: "Step right up! Walk this way! Welcome to the one, the only, magical Tree of Harmony Museum! Come, see the birthplace of the Tree! Grown from the tears of a basilisk and tended day and night by pony magicians! This is truly one of the wonders of Equestria!" - I like that story... I am adopting it! Sandbar: "It already has a great story!" - What!? Okay then I wont... 😏 Smolder: "I'm not finished yet! And, honestly, I'm kinda having a hard time remembering what the Tree looked like. I can't believe I'm already forgetting." - This is somehow very symbolic... and useable on every loss that occurred in some way or another... I love Silverstream's artsy vibe... and also love how Yona (yes she is awesome!) is the voice of reason here and gets the rest to rethink their approach, as they realize that the Legacy of the Tree of Harmony lies within their friendship-bond and in their heart. The gateway to their friendship! To their luck, sandbar was too lazy to remove the original tree-debris and they decide to build a treehouse out of it. The young 6 finally get their own song! Its even a great song! Here is an awesome remix and PMV: (Faulty Remix PMV) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYKNfeAF8GY The result was kind of a scrambled one, but as Silverstream said: "Oh, it's just like us!" I loved that! And that Treehouse transforms into a huge, gorgeous crystally one - Its so damn pretty! https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/mlp/images/e/e0/Upper_view_of_the_Treehouse_of_Harmony_S9E3.png https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/mlp/images/5/5e/Young_Six_behold_the_Treehouse_of_Harmony_S9E3.png - I love how it's placed in the ruins of the "Castle of the two sisters". Tree of Harmony: "Because of you. The spirit of the Treehouse would have perished without your selfless deeds and caring. Whenever you seek solace, come here. Your friendship, and the friendship of future generations, will always be safe within these walls." - The Tree of Harmony is back in their own way, also these words are a legacy that was left behind... a promise for future generation and friendships that are always welcome... 👀 - It's awesome! Silverstream: "But why did the Tree need our help to become something new?" Twilight Sparkle: "I'm not sure. If I had to guess, I'd say your friendship is more powerful than you know." Yona: "Oh, Yona know. Yona just need to remind friends." - Yes she did... This was definitely a really good episode! --- This episode focus on the Young 6, who are summoned by the Tree of Harmony, only to find it's been destroyed by King Sombra. Each of them has their own idea on how to honor the Tree's memory, leading to some classic chaos. Sandbar jumps the gun and cleans up the cave solo, missing the whole "teamwork makes the dream work" memo. But Yona, being the awesome yak she is, steps up as the voice of reason and gets everyone to rethink their approach. They finally come together and build a treehouse from the Tree's remains, which magically transforms into the stunning Treehouse of Harmony. It's a beautiful symbol of renewal and the enduring spirit of friendship. Fans, including myself, loved the emotional depth and the Young Six's dynamic. The song was a heartfelt touch, and the Treehouse stands as a symbol of the series' lasting legacy. The Young Six represent the show's diverse fandom, uniting different cultures and backgrounds. Their interactions are heartwarming and relatable, resonating with both younger viewers and older fans. While some feel that episodes centered around the Young Six lack the depth of those focusing on the main cast, I appreciate the fresh perspectives they bring. Their unique backgrounds allow for exploration of different themes about friendship like, understanding, and acceptance due to their races. Also each character has their own struggles and strengths, making them relatable to a wide audience. Also, this episode showed us some new perspectives about their personality, which was great. Now, picking a favorite among the Young Six is as tough as choosing one of the Mane Six - they all have their unique charms. But if I had to choose, Yona stands out. She's straightforward and genuine in everything she does and says, and I absolutely love her for that. Silverstream isn't Pinkie Pie, but she brings her own brand of enthusiasm, especially considering her history with the Storm King. Smolder has some surprising hidden depths, understandable given her dragon heritage. Sandbar's calm and laid-back attitude gives off a mellow vibe that I also like. Ocellus, the studious one with a Fluttershy-like demeanor and transformative powers, is a fascinating character. And Gallus? He's the most troublesome, but as I've said before, he as the rough guy of the group (thanks to his upbringing in Griffonstone), is the one with a mellow heart that truly cares about their bonds, which he sometimes shows. All their backstories contribute to their likability. It's great, and the conflict of choice is real... And yes, as you said it's also worth noting the inclusion of male participants, which was definitely progress, considering it was originally a show for young girls. The Young Six represent the new generation, reinforcing the show's core message: friendship transcends all boundaries. It's also funny, how the episode gives a nod to the yak tradition of smashing and rebuilding things, highlighting themes of renewal and impermanence. Plus, in a way there is a call-back to the earlier episode "Castle Sweet Castle" that was about the loss of Twilights former home the "Golden Oak Library"... Overall, "Uprooted" stands out as a heartfelt episode that resonates deeply with fans like me. It beautifully showcases the Young Six's journey in honoring the Tree of Harmony, emphasizing themes of unity, renewal, and the enduring power of friendship. The episode's emotional depth, combined with the characters' diverse backgrounds and personalities, offers fresh perspectives and reinforces the show's core message that friendship transcends all boundaries. The creation of the Treehouse of Harmony and the musical number "The Place Where We Belong" serve as poignant symbols of hope and continuity, making "Uprooted" a memorable and cherished installment of the series. You could say, this is a follow-up episode... and it shows, that this season might definitely be more structured and continuous than all the prior seasons. - That said, it still has some deviants (even some less liked ones), but much better than most of the other Seasons. - I loved your opinion about the future generation etc. great insight! Thanks for reacting to that! 💙

This episode ought to give you an idea about what I mentioned after season 8 about how much more coherent season 9 would be than it was. I'm not saying there aren't any blemishes in season 9, but it definitely has a direction.
