May was a good month in all. I went into it in an absolute panic but came out of it much better than expected.

Steady progress continues on the Meri/Mentha VN. We are solid on our foundation and our story, and so now are working on writing the "meat" and laying out how much art will have to be done. Being the sole person responsible for drawing all of the art means I'll likely be swamped with stuff to do in the weeks coming up to July 16 (VN Cup end date).

VN progress:
- Finalized the character designs of ~80% of the main characters
- Finished the plot outline for about 1/3 of the story
- Completed final writing of about the first two days of the story
- Have around half a dozen music themes' concepts finished
- Some more important sound effects completed

Progress will definitely pick up as the deadline draws nearer. I always was such a bad procrastinator in school and I'm definitely reminded of that when I work on this project.

I am also still working very slowly through packaging and shipping paintings, completing commissions, and living through a very tiresome home situation.

There is also the personal challenge of doing a new Mint drawing every single day, just for fun and to keep myself from getting rusty. With almost each one I'm trying to do something different.

It feels nice that art is my only job. As tiring as it is, it is more personally rewarding than anything else I could be doing.
