In the censored version, they replace half the episode with recaps and flashbacks. If you're watching the Blu-ray version, it's probably the uncut version. That's the only episode like that.

2025-11-06 13:07:14 +0000 UTCNo anime has ever managed to reach the level of hype that Gurren Lagann did. Kill la Kill came close, but still didn’t quite make it. Yes, KLK maintains a consistent level of quality throughout. It’s a great anime — probably in my top 30. GL, on the other hand, is rougher around the edges, but somehow more heartfelt. And when it’s hype, it’s really hype. GL is in my top 3.
