I really like your Miki discussion! Strong agreement with a lot of what you said. You brought up if Miki would do this for a girl he didn't know, I totally agree with you he would not. I'd bring it one step further, would he insist that forcing Anthy who she will marry is unacceptable if he was the victor? Would he give up his "right" to her and destroy the system if it benefited him? Idk, but food for thought, and just based on this episode it seems like his own interest is what matters. Any moral reasoning felt like lip-service, because the system wasn't benefiting him personally at the time.
