I actually love this direction! Tess was my least favorite of the group before, but she's totally shot up in the rankings! Her taking this time to really confirm Liam's feelings on everything and let him know that there's an out was definitely necessary. And I think knowing what the deal is actually will make him fit more into her expectations that she arrived with, so it really is obedience training still. Love enthusiastic consent!

I thought that the Tess we've seen up until now was the real Tess, so seeing that she's actually been playing a character was originally disappointing, but I think this opens up different possibilities that are also exciting but maybe not as quick to pay off. I imagine its a similar story for the other two as well. The conversation that Liam caught a brief snippet of last chapter was what really convinced me. I originally thought that Emma was the one suggesting they pump the brakes, but after reading this chapter it seems to me now like she was the one insisting that they keep going. Instead of being Liam's life preserver as he struggles to stay afloat in a sea of domination and mind games, it may be that Emma ends up becoming the weight shackled to his ankle, dragging him into its deepest depths despite the other three's warnings. The hottest thing about Emma is that she is so eager and enthusiastic about all of this, almost to the point where I can see her letting it consume her. This is my favorite of your two ongoing stories and I can barely stand the wait between chapters!
