Also as OneTrueReason said, they also deal with rogue mages cuz there is not a lot a Sealing Designation orders since they are very rare.

2025-07-11 22:32:05 +0000 UTCA Sealing Designation Enforcer is the Mage's Association version of the Church's Executioners, they deal with rogue mages that have become a threat to either the Association itself or to commonfolk. So Bazett's position in the Association would be the same as Kirei's in the Church. Also, fun fact and kinda of an explanation of Hollow Ataraxia's events, Bazett and Kirei actually know each other as they have been assigned to several of the same missions, albeit it was purely coincidental, as you know the Mage's Association and the Church do not get along.

Sealing Designation is a sentence that the Association impose over Magi that have a great talent that cannot be inherited by their decendants. Every magus that have recieved a Sealing Designation is to be literally sealed in the Clock Tower to preserve their talents for all eternity. Obviously no one is gonna accept that bullshit, so for that reason the Sealing Designation Enforcers exist. They are the one in charge of catching those great talents (by force). Also this agents are the greatest combat force of the Association, every one of them is a monster. As of a magus with Sealing Designation, you have already meet one. Kiritsugu's father had a Sealing Designation. That's why he and his family were persecuted and that's why they were hidding in the Arimago Islands.
