Hey everyone!
A bit of a fun thing about this project is just how long-term it is. That means of course, that it does develop and take shape over time, and one gains new insights, perhaps a clearer understanding of the direction one wants to take with it.
And that is especially true for the period from the initial release until now. Those first few months, where you put the building blocks into place and kind of move on.
Now we've reached a point where all in all the game is in a pretty decent place. Most graphics are in, certainly for the important things, and so I'm getting some time to go back and get a second look at things. So one of the things I want to do is rework some of the character sprites and Wolf is the first one.
He already had a bit of a rework in update 6 I believe it was, which is version 1.5 here, but I still wasn't quite happy with it. Especially the head shapes felt rather clumsy. Overall with all the characters I tried to bring in a little bit of stylized bend to them initially, but it just didn't work out quite as I hoped for some. So the V-shape for the head now stepped aside for some more fluff. Adjustments to posing, detailing, all that good stuff. And yeah, Version 2 will be in the next update.
I hope you enjoy the refinements to him and naturally some refinements have been made "under the hood" so to speak as well, though most of those were already present in version 1.5.
