How to paint Holo Fabric in Clip Studio Paint
Added 2021-01-08 19:28:33 +0000 UTCHi! I want to share how to make a holo fabric in Clip Studio Paint! It not so hard to follow because CSP has a magic asset to make it easy XD here we go!
First, before going to holo, I want to share how I shading the clothes
this is the sample cloth, please see the attachments for the video process and psd files!

Brush - I use square painterfrom https://gumroad.com/l/NBlG
(it's optional, you can use any brush that suitable for your style! )

create a new multiply layer and paint heavy shading

now use the lighter color paint over heavy shade, try to make a soft and hard edge that can help the fabric shading look natural
then repeat this for all the cloth shading
There are so many helpful tutorials on drawing folds https://www.gvaat.com/blog/how-to-draw-folds-in-clothing-and-fabric-a-step-by-step-tutorial/
or you can study and practice from the real picture

Ok so now I will go to the how to make holo part
please download the CSP file in the attachment to see the layers!

use any light color to be color base

create multiply layer and painting shade
download Gradient map from https://assets.clip-studio.com/en-us/detail?id=1787626
then go to the three lines icon > new correction layer > gradient map as the attached picture

choose the Gradient map 홀로그램용 그라데이션 맵 세트 that you just downloaded then OK

now you can choose any holo style that you like and click OK

the cloth still looks flat so I create more multiply layers and add some more shadows

final touch, go to the three lines icon > new correction layer > tone curve to adjust all the over tone (this step is optional)

finish!

Don't forget to download the attachments for easier to follow step by step!
Sorry for my bad English, it hard for me to explain in technical words TT so I hope it can understand and can help!
