Bellagarths Quest Devlog #9: Development Build 3

Hello everyone! I've got a playable build for ya! Check out the downloads below if you wanna give it a shot!

It SHOULD work fine with whatever current save file you have, but if that happens to not be the case for you and it's crashing on startup, make sure to check out this guide here to delete your old save (also sorry if you have to delete your old save).

(You should also be able to open it while running the game)

This new build features:

-3 brand spankin new levels!
-Miniboss!
-More tower defense towers and waves!
-Tons of lil touchups!

Give it a shot if ya want! If not keep your eyes peeled for more comic pages cuz that's up next!

EDIT 1:
Okay so someone immediately caught a really silly mistake where I left a debugging thing in that I totally forgot to get rid of because I never use spacebar lmao. Updated the game zip with a fixed version.
ALSO be aware that there's apparently issues related to alt-tabbing while fullscreened, i would highly recommend going into windowed -> borderless mode to avoid that issue.

EDIT 2:
I've confirmed that there is a replicable issue with this build of the game caused by running it in fullscreen and tabbing in and out, the game display will likely freeze on a random frame (for some reason the title screen usually??). This 100% Game Maker's fault and I'm stuck waiting on a fix, so for the time being DO NOT RUN THE GAME IN FULLSCREEN

EDIT 3:
Updated the game with a hotkey to toggle fullscreen (F4) from testing switching out of fullscreen does fix the game when it "freezes", so just hit F4 real quick if that happens to unstick it. Added a couple other little tweaks based on feedback and also added a dodge move if folks wanna give that a try! Game Maker has also added a new syncing method that seems to help with the visual stutter that I've added for this build as well! Thanks for all your feedback!!

Thanks! And yes, I am planning to reintroduce inflation as a form, I plan for Bellagarth to have a lot of forms in this game, more than Lilith's Lair

I pledged to your Patreon because of this game and I gotta say I'm very impressed with it so far. Are you planning on adding an inflation "form" for Bellagarth in the future? The "Balloon" route was my favorite in Lilith's Lair and I absolutely adore the idea of characters inflating themselves as a game mechanic to float and reach platforms or solve puzzles that are out of reach.

That's an error caused by a conflict in the settings file, that should have automatically been deleted when booting up the game, but since it didn't you'll have to do it yourself. It's fairly simple, here's a guide on how: https://burgerkurger.com/deletingOldSave.html (You don't need to delete all of the contents, just the "settings.sav" file)
