Hello and welcome back to another episode of Soulcoom's development.
Prologue Fantasy Physics Minigame
Developed a "Freeing the Eye of Providence" Plinko style minigame to set the tone of the game.
Serves as the physics-based awakening sequence of the player out of the Jaded Glade and into Ms. Creamveil's cottage.
As your tear the Eye of Providence out of the pyramid, you control it's tumble as it bumps into other hungry eyes in the Glade.
Dialogue is reconnected after the sequence.
Later in that same scene, those same hungry eyes you woke may stop you from extracting if you choose the wrong dialogue options.
Dialogue System Enhancements
Applied new font styling for narration and font color for pending choices for a better UX.
Act 1 : 2D Backdrop Development
Refurbished 2D backdrops for the opening area created earlier this year.
Addressed a significant design challenge in applying consistent day/night lighting to the 2D backgrounds.
Designed an elegant indoor lighting solution that integrates seamlessly with our day and night system, preserving visual cohesion and immersion while exploring indoors.
First-Person Perspective (FPP) Body Progress
Now that the FPP head is finalized, work has begun on preparing the FPP body for integration into Unity.
Designed and fleshed out all available FPP breast sizes (A-F).
