7th Heaven Dev Update #35

Hello Lovelies!

Welcome to this week's Dev update for 7th Heaven! I've been hard at work both in IRL and on game dev. A lot of planning and organization work happened this week. Let's get into it.

General Game Dev

A good chunk of this week's workload was split between writing and organizing my work files. When I started developing art assets I just had them all in one or two files. Which quickly became a nightmare when searching for a specific character to edit. So I took some time to go through all my working files and organize them in a way that makes it infinitely easier to find. This was a lazy oversight on my part in the beginning of development. Any other game devs out there... Take the time to keep your files organized.

Writing

I wrote another outline pass of 0.3 this week. The original denouement of 0.3 wasn't as strong as I'd like so I took some time to really flesh it out and I think I'm almost there. I'm going to spend a little more time with it. To give you some insight to what an "outline" entails for 7th Heaven, an outline is a chronological step by step story brief. I list out every major beat of the story including sex scenes and I also note any particular dialogue and/or jokes that might be good to include. I'll break this outline into sequences and try to find the right pace for story ideas, sex scenes and jokes.

Coding

No Coding done this week. I'll begin coding once the story outlines are complete and I'm settled on the pace of the sory.

Art

Some more character sprites were started this week and I've been updating some of the BG's for 0.2a
