7th Heaven Dev update!

 Hello lovelies!

Welcome to another update on 7th Heaven. Here's what's been happening lately in each department l.

Writing

I was fortunate to receive a copy of Final Fantasy 7 Remake a bit early and I decided to take some time to play through its entirety to see whether I should use it's new canon in my writing. Initially I was going to keep it to the original games lore and story beats but this new remake brings a ton of great sexy context to the world of Midgar. Mmmmm Madam M and Andrea... and fuck me, Scarlet! I've especially liked the new Johnny bits. He was always a Tifa obsessed doofus and I'm glad it hasn't changed.

For the most part what I have written at the moment works already on its own. The parody story I've written takes place before both the remake and the original. So my parody exists on it's own still.

But yeah, I am totally going to work in the new characters and contexts into 7th Heaven. There's so many sexy ideas to be had with the new characters. I mean Madam fucking M, mistress of the Handjob. This practically writes itself... You will most likely see these things start appearing in the 3rd update. I'm gonna go back through my overview and start adding in this new and amazing content.

Art

So my search for an artist to help out is still ongoing. I have several people who have offered help but l haven't had a chance to really get to that part yet or send out formal contracts.

I've started work on some more scenes and some more character sprites along with some new backgrounds. I'm reevaluating the effectiveness of having fully detailed BGs for areas that don't really require it. BGs take the longest to make and in an effort to speed production up I may find a new way to convey the same points with lesser work needed.

Coding.

The coding for update 2 is about 75% done as of now. After that is complete I'll begin pacing things out and doing another pass of the dialogue. I like to see how everything plays in game and often while coding I come up with new jokes or events that can be easily added to a lagging section to pump it up. Testing the game is my favorite part because I really get to start polishing dialogue and actions and finally seeing all the planning come together.

Update 2 release?

I can't give a set release date yet.. Production has definitely picked up more since last update but the art is still a major hurdle to jump at the moment. Once art is done I will definitely have a better idea of when it will release to you lovely patrons.

Other notes

I hope all of you are staying safe while this is pandemic is going on. And if you're an essential worker at the moment thank you for helping to keep people safe and/or retain some sense of normalcy during a pandemic.
