I’m in Hong Kong for work and spent the afternoon yesterday over in Kowloon, so I figured it’d be appropriate to throw on back at the hotel. Great modern martial arts with lots of ass kicking. I’m gonna throw it on for my 14 y/o son when I get back home. How far forward does Modren March go? Can we include a new release?

Nice guy, solid professor. Wisely advised me not to take a very bad writing gig, which I of course ignored.

Haven't had a good look but I saw Sahara, Over the Top, Hercules, Masters of the Universe and Mata Hari. Also a bunch of old Brosnan westerns and F/X so everything you need a fun family Christmas

2024-11-28 15:30:46 +0000 UTCThe Kumite in Bloodsport takes place in the Kowloon Walled City and the dark dank hallways in the movie were actually shot there. It's actually some of the only real footage you'll ever find of the place I guess outside Hong Kong. There's only one line in the movie where the fixer guy says it takes place there, but the subtitlers seemingly didn't understand the reference or the guy's accent so they subtitle it wrong to something else which I don't remember at the moment.
