He just went with guys(Though Pullman did better than most) who legit didn’t have that ability, or himself. Like he could’ve gotten Martin Short, or even (controversial to some) Billy Crystal. That’s probably Brooks biggest blind spot. That his stuff needed to be carried by someone as great as Gene Wilder. Hell they should’ve went with Madeline Khan as the lead.
