Yes

JCVD, Charlton Heston, Sheldon Lettich, babe. Van Damme being a charming rogue. The Order (2001). On Tubi. WAY better than it has any right to be. 4 Split Kicks out of five.

The Buffmaster

Caught Twisters this weekend (the original is a go-to for me and the wife) and had a good enough time; like the first movie, it’s far from perfect but the stuff it does well is really fun. It brought up a question for you guys: are there any characters that come to mind for you that are awful and unbearably written, but whose actor still gave a legitimately likable performance? Not just “good”, but that weird feeling of liking the actor and wanting them onscreen as much as possible while also wishing every aspect of their character was different. Glen Powell is absurdly charming and, frankly, absolutely fucking dreamy in this movie, but they spend the first half of the movie making you despise his Clem Kadiddlehopper-ass “Youtube tornado wrangler” character then try WAY too hard to flip it the other way in the second half. It was this weird dichotomy where I found myself wanting him to get more screen time but also hating everything he did within the plot. Either he has that special kind of charisma you usually only see with “movie star” types like Tom Cruise or Matthew McConaughey, or I’ve finally found exactly where on the queer spectrum I lie. Also, Paxton’s son gets a cameo as a guy complaining to the front desk at a motel about the storm breaking his water heater during a tornado; he doesn’t get many lines, but it felt EXACTLY in line with his dad’s appearances in Cameron’s movies somehow.

A movie post 1999? Proud of you guys

The Last Barman Poet

That was the same major loophole that kept Uwe Boll in the industry for so long wasn’t it?

This movie was funded by Elie Samaha and Franchise Pictures which was a front for German Financiers. German Financiers got to take out loans for investment purposes but only had to pay taxes on Returns. If a movie lost money, the companies could write off the loan completely. They closed the loophole in 2006. Apart from that in 2004 Samaha was taken to court for overinflating the budget of nearly all of his movies, including 3000 miles to Graceland. The company that sued them was awarded 121 million dollars. Elie was also married to Tia Carrere

Im watching this Apple+ tv show, it’s a remake of a Harrison ford movie. And it’s not mosquito coast. It’s presumed innocent. I binged almost all of it this weekend because I have Covid, then found out the final episode isn’t out yet. I guess my question is, is anyone else watching it. And what is Apple doing remaking movies into tv shows and really not changing anything about them.

Swimfan69

I bloody Love salty Costner.

Was poking around at the pedigree and the director did music videos, this movie, then shifted to a decade of teaching at The Landmark Forum which is sort of a cult/MLM thing, and now has some weird cultish website. Figured I’d share. https://books.google.com/books/about/Discover_the_Gift.html?id=z-kUX2K7caMC&source=kp_author_description

It may be the first but it certainly won't be the last

Hell yeah, vivid memories of seeing this in theaters with my full blown alcoholic mom. She passed out probably 20 seconds into the movie. On our way out she tripped on the curb, face planted into the parking lot, and an ambulance came. How many times is Kurt gonna cash a check doing a shitty Elvis impersonation?

Question: Stranger, thoughts on Yohimbine in pre-workout? Safe? Dangerous? (Also, apologies if you've seen this question before and you're just ignoring it 👍🏻)

CromFourWinds

Fuck yeah!

Joey Knish

Funk ya. Kurt is so dreamy.

Ashley Ayers

Thoughts on the new Beverly Hills Cop?

Would you dare try opening a ABZ P.O. Box? Or do you fear the amount of mall ninja weapons, steroids and general craziness that would be sent your way?

The Buffmaster

The janitors need to know if Gabrus is watching the offseason Hard Knocks with the Giants.

I started down a Christopher Guest hole and ended up at Almost Heroes (1998) starring Chris Farley and Matthew Perry. What movies have surprised you with their existence?

You guys said that in the original Apes ending, it’s a parallel planet where it’s apes and not humans. What movies would you want to see from that world? Obviously stuff like Every Which Way But Loose with it switched would be excellent, but is there something better? Would an apes version of Come and See be worth coming to and seeing?

4 years a go I posted a comment on a Shadow Wolves ep asking for any advice for someone entering their 30s. I am now 34 and asking for any advice for someone officially entering their "mid 30s." (The movie right before the Shadow Wolves was Gymkata , a classic)

Have you heard about Nicolas Cage’s upcoming movie this year, “The Surfer”? It looks absolutely wild! Check out this scene from the film 🏄🏽‍♂️: https://youtu.be/mRM0Egw8cxM?si=UL5Lfup3YP6L4jXB

2001?!? A few months too late for Modren March

Berko Pierce

Hell yeah, loved this movie growing up in Las Vegas

Cole Trickle

Rental only, surprisingly. Feels like the exact kind of library title to end up on FAST services.

Nick C.

The math never checked out on this one.

Can we get a fitness / workouts update? The high and mighty fitness episode was great and I’d love to know how each of you guys have progressed, add yet another tier 😂 — Sim, Dublin

Can we get some ABZ wife worshippers in the shop?

Justice for Bokeem Woodbine! Blelvis himself!

Ay Ay Ron

Is this the first ABZ movie to feature CGI scorpions fighting to nu-metal?
