How on earth did they not die laughing when Ryan burst into a goat scream.

The Eric Roberts Experience

Wondering if the Boyz will talk about the new X-men animated show on Disney for this month’s SW, although, it might not be derivative enough for them.

El Capitan Podcast

The chin strap worn on the front of the chin might just be a convenience issue. We used to do that with our Kevlar straps in the military, you could pop them off easily but you could also tighten it all up just by clenching your jaw. I found myself doing the same thing when I used to be the historical forest ranger at Greenfield Village.

Charlie Horgan

hey in the Tombstone episode from 2019 you guys said 'skin that snake wagon.' but it was actually 'skin that smoke wagon'

bloodflart

I miswrote, meant to write fistful of dynamite, but fistful of dollars is also excellent

Connor

I cannot figure out how to search threads on patreon, so forgive me if this has been asked before. I'd love to see the boys talk about my favorite western Fistful of Dynamite/Duck You Sucker

Connor

I associate Emilio with the Roxbury anecdote, either the first or second thing I think about.

My favorite ball sports player is Pete Marinovich.

I would love an entire Series of Classic Movies, I am in the final days of the Noir City Festival in Seattle. You see the inspiration to a lot of the Action Movies we have become the Movies that are covered by the Action Boyz. I just saw the new 4K restoration of Le Trou (The Hole).

Perla X. Caballero

Whether ya call it Western Boyz or Classic Boyz I love when y’all do these old westerns, keep em comin!

K-Dot

I made a “classic boyz” list on spec. https://boxd.it/s0ChC

The ‘I’m a cusper and a gasper’ gets me every time

Alec Ogg

What about calling it The Golden Boyz when you guys review those classic movies. I’m just a janitor though and thought of it when my I was cleaning piss in the restroom.

LeSaint

Borgnine was originally cast to play Alice Krige's recurring role, in Star Trek.

Michael Pemulis

Anyone else see the Sykes cockshot at the end of the sauna scene?

Turkey Creek Jack Johnson

I’m out living Ernest by 50 yrs… 🫡

This was such a goddamn treat. I'd been meaning to revisit The Wild Bunch and this was a perfect opportunity. And I cannot endorse the idea of Classic Boyz strongly enough. I've been hoping The Boyz would incorporate more classic movies because they are legit amazing at breaking down what makes a great film work, so I am looking forward to them looking further back in movie history.

John Arminio

I remember getting this flipper DVD from Netflix, and accidentally starting it from the wrong side. I was confused as hell but didn’t want to start it over because the action was so good.

Adam Ross

Emperor of the North is probably my favorite Borgnine, wish he would have played more villains

Adam Ross

Gabrus: if you're looking for a similar Borgnine performance from even earlier than this, I highly recommend checking out Johnny Guitar

Jesse

Earnest goes to Borgnine. Love this film! 🤠👉👉✨

Nick LaPole

Is anyone else experiencing Patreon syncing where you were in the episode between the computer and the mobile app for the first time? Game changing

the Stone bits were very funny and relatable

I (we) have a male child due in May. Ernest is now on the list. Not a guarantee.

This movie unlocked Rodgers' autism in ways never thought possible

My fav! And one of only two DVDs I own that you have to flip over halfway through (it’s this and Goodfellas).

New Action Boys, Gabrus on Blank Check and my Cintas delivery — all on the same day. Blessed be the janitors.

I’ve worked for many years with someone who was one of Peckinpah’s ADs (who happens to now be a trans woman). She did most of his films starting with The Getaway. She always had great things to say about Sam (though nothing good to say about his apparently pretentious DP Lucien Ballard). One thing that always stuck with me was that she said that while Sam had a wild drinking problem he had it “under control” in a sense that he could be productive and efficient even though he was constantly soaked in booze. She theorized that it was the cocaine that ultimately undid him. Once he started doing cocaine habitually he could drink five times as much as he could without it. Without blow he would drink himself into oblivion but would eventually crash out at 2am and recharge with sleep and food. Once cocaine was in the mix the guy would go on week long benders that would end up with him in the hospital or in a 36hr comatose state. Not that he wasn’t in a death spiral already but the coke gave him super drinking powers.

I know that they meant ‘Terror Train’ when they mentioned Ben Johnson in “the train” movie, but it’d be great to hear John Frankenheimer’s ‘The Train’—which has come up before—covered.

Frank Kimball

Unpopular opinion, but I don't like Peckinpah that much. My top 5 Jaws Heat Raiders of the Lost Ark Silence of the Lambs Sorcerer

Gil Slits

“The Wild Bunch—also known as the DP episode.” -🤓

Paul

Kuffs No Retreat, No Surrender 2 End of list

Michael Pemulis

Die Hard ? Never seen it . Any good?

John McClane

No Die Hard what's the deal? Man SOTL is perfect now I think about it

bloodflart

1) Silver Bullet (Obvy) 2) Silence of The Lambs 3) T-2 4) Cliffhanger 5) The Program

John McClane

"That and freedom of speech." Goddammit Gabrus never change.

FiddlersGreenDay

Room to Dream is a great read too. The chapters alternate between recollections about working with Lynch, and chapters written by Lynch himself. He is very aware of his image but still hilarious

Joe B

The French Connection, Jaws, Unforgiven, Silence of the Lambs, Day of the Jackal, Heat

HappyBirthdayPaulie

Oooh, The Thing would replace the movie I included in my list as a joke. I forgot they did that one.

David Bauer

Cabbie ain't got his hat in this one

bloodflart

we should do a poll or something, maybe on the reddit (worst 5 too). Your list is wild here's mine: 1. Terminator 2 2. Heat 3. The Thing 4. Alien 5. Highlander 2 The Quickening Man looking at their list they have covered some horrendous movies. Made for some of the best eps.

bloodflart

Any of the Friedkins

Eugenio Triana

Saw 1995 re-release of the Original Director's Cut / original, 1969 European release in 70mm at an old school plush picture palace. Great experience at the time, especially memorable now since that’s an increasingly rare cinematic experience.

Canadian Day Player

re: Lynch. It's cool he doesn't talk about what his movies mean but he's not a totally closed book. If you know his backstory it puts everything in perspective, couldn't recommend David Lynch: The Art Life higher https://www.criterionchannel.com/david-lynch-the-art-life

Jon Smith

Would be very hyped for a classic boyz. Back when I first watched Brute Force I thought it'd fit right in with the rest of the catalog.

Mijo

Is this the best film they’ve done? It’s gotta be up there. My top five of the movies they’ve covered (in no particular order) are: 1. The Living Daylights (obviously) 2. Unforgiven 3. Day of the Jackal 4. Heat 5. The Wild Bunch

David Bauer

Years later Gabrus still hates Firefox and Ben still sticks up for it 💪

Happy Birthday Gabrus!

Bralynn Bell

a lot of these guys pop up in old episodes of TV westerns. Gunsmoke and the Rifleman are great "Hey that guy" shows. Plus you get to see James Arness and Chuck Connors...fuckin dreamboats.

Gilligan(The marooned Ranchero)

stressful seeing all those kids in the shootouts, with no Inspector Tequila to give them earplugs

Joe B

Paramount+ !

Hammerthrust Von Sexron

I don't think anything makes me laugh more or harder than the Action Boyz

Brix

Rodgers took his adderall prior to this recording 👍

The Buffmaster

"If they podcast, kill 'em."

Adam Lewis

The Importance of Being Ernest P. Worrell has to have been a 90s SNL cut-for-time sketch.

Dave McM

TV show recommendation: Monsieur Spade on Prime, had to double check it wasn’t written by Dashiell Hammet it’s so true to his style

Eugenio Triana

This makes no sense - they only do classic movies, because they are classic men.

The Maori Dennis Farina

Rewatching this I understood why everyone says Peckinpah would have been the perfect director for Blood Meridian

Eugenio Triana

No way the wild bunch is a classic

Eugenio Triana

A long-time fave, not just for introducing me to the sentence "why don't you kiss my sister's black cat's ass"

REMAIN INDOORS

The new guy approved by the Stanger Estate doing the Stanger voice isn’t bad.

Javier Gonzalez

I love this movie... a little scared the boys will rip it to shreds but also keen to learn more about it.

The Maori Dennis Farina

I accidentally watched the entire jackass spinoff The Wild Boyz. My bad.
