Such a crazy movie

Wild that after this fiasco New Line rolled the dice again by putting a beloved adaptation in a hands of a little-known foreign director with a handful of indie credits, sending them off to a ridiculously expensive location shoot, and it fucking worked. Balls.

Great Doc, Stanley is a great director but unfortunately a terrible guy. Confirmed to me by some people who know him in the occult scene.

Bring me the Head of Warren Oates

The Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria, Queens today has a screening of The Lawnmower Man (I couldn’t go. I wanted to). It was part of some ongoing series or other about humans and computerized worlds or something. But I choose to believe the real reason is that one of the curators there is also a Janitor.

I think about this documentary far too often. Really looking forward to seeing it again.

I get really weirded out when stanger defends guys like this and the people on epsteins island last week (pretty sure he’s just dumb but…)

Definitely a sex pest

Book two is great. I did not particularly like the 1st or 3rd.

Dr. BleepBloop

A friend of a friend claimed Val Kilmer solicited him for coke in a NY bar many years back & said Val was pretending to take calls on his cell to avoid unwanted interactions. That said, he's a compelling performer & I'd love a stretch of VK coverage. The Salton Sea, Spartan, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, MacGruber - now that'd be a Val Verde Val-vember to remember.

hell yeah

Brando trying to pass off fake German/Spanish on set is hilarious. The actor's impression of him had me rolling

Turkey Creek Jack Johnson

And Rodgers' ex is wrong, please try not to say bris-bayne, it sounds so wrong. Gabrus says it right

Former Janitor

Also, driving from Cairns to Sydney on a whim is definitely crazy behaviour. Especially in the mid 90s, most of the way would be 1 lane each way and it might take 3 or more days.

Former Janitor

Cairns region does have a lot of rain, but it wasn't a complete mistake to want to shoot there, Terrence Malick would shoot Thin Red Line up there 2 years later, it really is one of the only places in the world where you can get that kind of terrain with good logistics and political stability, and it really is beautiful. If they were filming in winter it was probably hot. If they filmed in the summer, Brando's ice bucket hat was completely justified. But going an hour away up into the mountains/Tablelands would have also been smart, drops the temperature 10 degrees immediately.

Former Janitor

Nicolas Roeg directed a disappointing TV movie of ‘Heart of Darkness’ starring Tim Roth and John Malkovich.

Ben should be pulling for the Vancouver Canucks come play off season in April.

Hardware is on Archive.org https://archive.org/details/hardware-1990-pal-vhs

Darryl Bowen

There’s also some extra BTS stuff you can see that was shot by Kilmer, in the VAL doc. Stanley had some fairly ugly allegations made against him a few years ago.

Haunted Screen

With that human tooth find, this show has finally crossed over into true crime podcasting.

David D.

Let The Three Body Problem cook, its worth the payoff. Gabrus is right that book two and three escalate at an insane rate, but it felt coherent (especially with how bananas it gets).

Quim Tebow

Does anyone know where Richard Stanley’s top hat-wearing ass was in 2001 when From Hell was in theaters?

Melissa Joan Fart

Add me to the people that want you to do Hardware. Such a sleazy film that ripped off a 2000 AD story, but looks like a short story that came from Heavy Metal magazine. BTW, not readily available through legal means. I believe because of the issues involving plagiarism.

Don Knott Steiner

Castlevania is a great show for people that don't fuck with anime, great acting and every fight has some shit I never seen before. You can do a lot more cool choreography with animation

bloodflart

Hogan has some of the funniest tweets ever 'That's poop brother.'

bloodflart

‘Saint Omer’ is another good recent French movie that depicts the court system there.

Frank Kimball

YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TOOTH!

He was definitely jerking off to his co-workers what are these guys talking about

I'm always pulling for the Bills, unless they're playing the Vikings, which is rare. Because they feel like a sister franchise, to Minnesota, where, no matter how good the Vikings seem to be doing, we're always waiting for the other shoe to drop. And then dealing with the perpetual disappointment, in myself, for caring too much.

Michael Pemulis

I still say the ever growing crowd at Wrestlemania 3, and the shrinking lifespan of Andre The Giant after that event are my favorites.

Don Knott Steiner

Same!

Philip Hollingsworth

Don’t looooove this show but is Ben actually Loudermilk?

Emily McCauley

My favorite Hogan lie is that he was supposed to play bass in Metallica after Cliff died.

MeekoCHAOS The Raccoon Boi

I MUST know the tooth story.
