It was part of some ongoing series or other about humans and computerized worlds or something. But I choose to believe the real reason is that one of the curators there is also a Janitor.

2024-01-31 23:03:54 +0000 UTCCairns region does have a lot of rain, but it wasn't a complete mistake to want to shoot there, Terrence Malick would shoot Thin Red Line up there 2 years later, it really is one of the only places in the world where you can get that kind of terrain with good logistics and political stability, and it really is beautiful. If they were filming in winter it was probably hot. If they filmed in the summer, Brando's ice bucket hat was completely justified. But going an hour away up into the mountains/Tablelands would have also been smart, drops the temperature 10 degrees immediately.
