Somebody said that a wizard is never late and arrives precisely when he means to. And so is Brixel! It's May the 15th and the new update 2.1 is now live!
The new iterration of Brixel is unique compared to the previous ones. "The Brixelized GUI" Update focuses on a total overhaul of Brixel's user interface. The idea is to make the pack more uniform when it comes to the visuals. The different contextual menus now follow the style of the Brixel blocks, to emphasize the bricky feel.
We are changing both the existing visuals of in-game menus, and adding new ones as well!
We've started with redesigning the Brixel logo. It has a more 3d-feel than the previous one, being constructed of many small bricks that are stacked on each other. The background panorama has changed as well!
The style of the logo is taken further into the design of different in-game windows. We can see the 3d-effect here as well, with the bricks being stacked in many layers in the inventory, crafting menus and more! The slots for blocks and items can be found at the same spots as in vanilla, but they have right now much fancier bricky surroundings! :)
Work on the new user interface gave us a clear vision of how Brixel should look like. We feel that this update literally puts all of the bricks together and brings us closer to completing the work on Brixel!
We will be happy to continue our work on both GUI and new content for the following updates.
