Optifine for 1.17 now works with Brixel!

A new version of Optifine for 1.17 has been released - "Optifine 1.17 HD U G9 pre22". It's still in preview state - this means that bugs may occur, although I haven't encountered any so far.
You can normally play current version of Brixel on this preview, even though Minecraft says that the pack is not compatible.
