Another New Ruby Cosplay

Of course I am yet again making ANOTHER Ruby cosplay. This one is based on the Chinese dress design by Mojojojojojo. I will be wearing the cosplay Friday of Katsucon with a pretty big RWBY Chinese Dress group.

I did buy a base dress on AliExpress (hence why it looks a little different).

So far what I have done to the dress is cut the side seams so that its open. Going to be making bows and re-doing/sewing on gold trim along all the sides.

OOoo I also made this cute little wristband.

Fabric wise - the brocade is really nice on the dress but I hate how stiff it is. I feel like it needs to drape better and the only way to fix this is if I replaced all the fabric with a lightweight silk. Replacing all the fabric will also allow me to lengthen the dress - honestly still wondering if I should make it longer or keep it short. (mehhhh I may not have time to do this with me doing Space Moose and trying to get done with my secret April Fools Day prank cosplay - I will push myself though to see if I can get this done... maybe)..............

Also doesn't help that I really want to do my own silk dying... maybe I can make time?

Anyways rest of the cosplay will be extremely easy for me to do (like those tights XD )
