Because EVERYONE has asked…..
1. Print Pattern on 8x11 paper. Overlap the dots and tap or staple in place.
2. Use an exacto knife to carefully cut the pieces out.

3. Tape that sucker to your leg. *yeah your leg… not your panty hose or your knee highs…
4. Using a sharpie draw the rose directly onto your leg (don’t fill in… since we just need the shape. You are essentially making a pattern on your leg to trace onto the panty hose.
5. Put the panty hose on.
6. Use the sharpie to trace the outline of the rose on your leg. When you have the shape fill it in.
7. Don’t forget to draw in the thorns!
8. Take the panty hoses off and put the knee highs on. Time to tear them up! Use a pair of scissors to cut holes then put nail polish remover on top to prevent it from running.

9. Wait for it to dry.
10. Take off knee highs and get that sharpie off your leg! Pro tip: Makeup removers help!
11. Rock out your new Ruby tights. Put the panty hose on then the knee highs and go kick some Grimm butt.

I used [ THESE ] boots as a base.
Took off all the straps/belts. And took out the pocket and band at the top of the boot.

Painted the sole white and then red. Cleaned it up with rubbing alcohol.
Shortened the boots by cutting off about an inch or two off the top. Folded over a little bit and sewed the band back on top of it.
Hand sewed the pocket back in.
Made custom made belts with similar black vinyl. (they are like an inch wide). The buckles I used were silver ones I got from Amazon. Put in black grommets for the holes. (psst… they look like they are functioning buckles but I actually have the buckle only on one strap… the other strap is just sewn behind the buckle because it looks nicer.)

Anyways I hope that helps! If you have more questions then let me know!

Everyone had good guesses what the Ruby bracers were made out of. It’s actually a cereal box lined with fabric and covered with vinyl. The cardstock works great because it holds it shape… making it look, feel and sound like leather! Anyways on to the belts and bullets!
For the RWBY bracers… by the wrists its 8 ½ “ wide.
At my forearm its 11 1/4 “
Length is 7 1/2″
Each heavy duty snap is placed an inch in from the edge
The piece overlaps around my arm to snap in place.
Its a very tight fit. I got the fit after wrapping my arm in saran wrap and masking tape. Drawing the pattern on my arm and carefully cutting the pattern out.
For reference - My measurements are
Wrist Circumference: 6″
Forearm Circumference: 9.25″
