Weekly Update: 15th December 2025

It’s the last full week of the month before Christmas and I’m going to be away with family this year, so let’s get straight to what I did over the course of last week.

Bronzaa Shines

Silverbeck Buffs

Goldioss Sponsos

The Patreon Policy Livestream was last week, as I documented here, but now you can actually watch it, here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/2025-year-end-145701272

Now, if you don’t want to watch the stream yourself, you can read my write up here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/145686831

I don’t know if it’s the last one I’m going to do or not – as modern internet is, video is the main go-to and given how public Patreon has become with the livestreams, is there much point in my transcribing these anymore?  I dunno…  feels like I’m Don Quioxte or something.

That said, it was very reassuring to hear that (on the surface) Patreon will continue to host furry and LGBTQIA+ content, which as you can tell, is something very relevant to me.

True, one can argue that because this platform is not going to allow and indeed has evicted certain penchants in the past… yeah, one still has to be careful.  I myself can’t take my long-term future on here for granted (but who can really, unless you’re like, making wicker basket tutorials or something?)

Perhaps I’m being a bit too naïve following certain developments like finally, us non-USA-based folks get to withdraw our funds directly to our banks: https://www.patreon.com/posts/funny-you-should-145449932

… but... given how difficult 2025 has been for a myriad of reasons… not least, a certain development that we’re all aware of last week, illustrated thusly:

Image of a handshake

If you don’t know, MouseCorp did a deal with a major generative AI platform that now does videos with sound and everything…

… and on a related note, California University of the Arts (or CalArts) has now started venturing into this AI-stuff, causing consternation with a lot of students.  This is the academic animation powerhouse that graduates of then end up working for major animation studios for (or formerly, since two have sold and abandoned their studio lots, and one remaining powerhouse is migrating up to Vancouver, Canada – and yes, we’re all aware of the news of that one company being potentially bought out by a major streaming service)

It’s a scary time to have art be your means of making a living… (not to mention the “thou shalt” global internet clean-up campaign) so I’ll take small victories where I can.  On that note:

I am most grateful and whilst I can only speak for myself, given how tricky it’s been financially for a lot of people all over the world, any obvious advocating of human artists (that aren’t prompt-jockeys that is)… it’s invaluable.  Thank you so so much.

I’m going to do what I can to keep going before the Christmas break; I’ll be back before New Year’s of course.  Still not made up my mind on whether I’ll take January off or not… gaaaaah~ decisions, decisions.

Goldioss Sponsos, fret not, haven’t forgotten your images; it’s just tricky at the moment trying to draw a catfish/bison combo.

As for the comics… ummmm?  I can’t blame some for thinking “promises, promises”, I’ve been a bit lax production-wise.  I should start going through my kaijū appurtenances to get ideas; maybe I’ll take my books with me when I drive away for the Christmas break…

There’s a lot of uncertainty as the year draws to a close, so I’m going to get on with what I can. No time like the present, right?

Yours Sincerely,

‘Kamiduzaurus

P.S. Should you celebrate them, whatever your faith, Happy Holidays.  Take care, stay safe.

Just now catching up and the Bear and Bad Guys mini comics are nice, though I can appreciate the extra time for several pages so they may be less often in the future.
