Important Information Be Here
Added 2025-01-03 18:41:21 +0000 UTCThis is going to be to the point because I’ve spent all day turning this over in my head…
So, I was informed by a party who shall remain anonymous that they’d been charged when they should not have been done. Cue panic mode and grovelling apologies on my part and a journal entry (that I'm later going to scrap):
It took me until lunchtime and partway through swimming to realise that there’s been a misunderstanding. The onus is on me naturally because I didn’t word things properly when I posted up my decision in December…
Or not illustrate them as I usually do whenever I’m about to take a hiatus. So, to put this to bed:

That's what I meant by it.
I have heard it said that I may have it backwards, and people join with the expectation that they’re paying in advance for new content throughout the month.
But to me, it comes off as a bit odd, ala:
I don’t know. Maybe I’m reflecting upon the older Patreon of the 2010s, and stuff has changed now with the anniversary subscription billing... 🙄 but I’ll spare you from a long ramble. This is the method that works for me and I've not had any major pushback before. The way I presently operate ala so:
… was and remains my method to deal with so:

(If you don't know who the above is and why I'm alluding to 'em, read this: https://www.mariowiki.com/Nabbit)
So yeah, ostensibly:
No, I’m not producing any content here for January.
BUT that means you won’t be charged come February, as illustrated above, but also reaffirmed here:

If you still feel hard-done-by or tricked or confused, message me and I'll sort something out proper. I'm sorry for overreacting and causing a ruckus-- I'm at a very low ebb presently. I must rest now.

Thank you for your time and patience with me on this matter.

You work hard and produce a ton of content throughout the months and years. I think you deserve breaks from time to time even if you charge us. Most companies let you have paid time off and they will pay you. That's just the right thing to do. I think freelance artists deserve breaks with pay when they need it.
