Here's What's Gonna Happen...

Hello again and thank you for being a Patron this month.

As the title indicates, this entry is to forewarn you about what is about to happen.

Namely:

* Given the whole anniversary billing thing they're foisting onto people, I suspect the payment cycle for September and October may be the last time it's done the normal way. I know from November 2024, they're planning to have all new members who join a Pat​reo​n on the new system. But I don't know whether they've started enacting this anniversary/subscription billing thing already?

For yes, when the first working week of September arrives, I depart. Therefore:

I’m not making the same mistake I did last year when I was on holiday by un-publishing my account, because I had the rather nail-biting period of waiting for my account to be approved when I wanted to re-open it.  And I lost my Founder’s Fee (so Pat​reon take a bigger chunk out of my earnings now, because their system thinks I started in 2023, rather than 2015/2016 when I originally did). 😢 I got lucky back then but I don’t want to push my luck, especially given how much more… stringent things have become since, if you know what I mean.

So I’ll be simply pausing my account, and make it pretty clear as such, both for Members and for the wider public. Yes. You've seen me do that before, right?

I was planning to write all this up tomorrow (Monday 26th) but a question I was asked today (Sunday 25th) made me do a double-take and address this now. (Again, this is one of the reasons why I plan on leaving this platform because it's going to get complicated with the anniversary billing thing in terms of who got charged and when and ... blah blah. Anyway, that's all. With just over a week left to go, I'm doing my best to get the darn comic pages finished in time before I leave. Please bear with me... there have been too many other things happening this month as is.
