Added 2024-08-18 16:12:22 +0000 UTCI'll address this more comprehensively in the future, but in respect as to why I plan to leave this platform once they have everyone on the anniversary billing thing, it's because I want to spend my time doing the artwork, not all the admin ensuring that each person gets each archive key at every date in relation to when they signed up (presuming that the fees actually go through and we don't have a dine-and-dash situation).
It may be managable with a small number of Patrons but without my disclosing the exact number, I'm dealing with a three-figure sum here.
Plus in terms of bookkeeping, it's going to be chaos budgeting things per month because I won't have one lump sum to deal with like you would a regular salary at a dayjob.
I don't honestly know how other creators are going to deal with this, especially those who have a more time-sensitive reward scheme where they're physically shipping out things (so naturally there's going to be a time delay) or it's in relation to a holiday-themed event or something.
As infruiating as it is, we'll just have to wait and see. I'm very sorry.
