Anyway, Bulldromes are the mature form of Bullfangos, boar-like creatures that have been a staple of Monster Hunter since the 2nd entry. Unlike their predecessors whose English name is the same as their Japanese counterparts, Bulldromes were originally called Dosufango ドスファンゴ, dosu ドス having multiple meanings:
- · どす a sharp tool (their tusks)
- · 怒筋/ どすじ dosuji – this 💢 mark often used to represent anger (their quick-to-anger temperament)
- · どす黒い/ どすぐろい dosuguroi – dark/duskish (referring to their pelt colour)
