This update adds emissive and subsurface scattering mapping for shaders that supports labPBR format. If you want to see the effect, you would need to either use the GeForceLegend patch for SEUS PTGI HRR (only supports emissives, download can be found on the internet or pinned in the #general channel on my patron discord), or you need to use any shader that supports the format/features and enable the options in the shader settings.

The emissive brightness varies between different shaders, I'm mostly using SEUS PTGI HRR GFME or Kappa shader as reference.

The update progress will probably slow way down from now on until 1.18 releases, I'll probably work on more shader compatibilities and additional features for the optional packs. Still don't really want to work on mob textures yet tho, so in the meantime you could use mob textures from other packs as placeholders.

The "basic" pack need to be loaded at the bottom (just above default pack), and the optional packs can be loaded on top in any order.

The texture resolution for "basic", "addon", and "bonus" pack need to match each other for pathtracing to work properly, but you can use whatever res you like for the "items" and "models" pack.

The extra grass in the "models" pack works best with SEUS PTGI HRR and "Smooth Lighting" option disabled. Otherwise I don't recommend using the "models" pack.

Please check the included "features list" text file inside each optional pack to see detail descriptions of what they add, or how to remove unwanted features in the "models" pack.

!! Don't try the 256x versions unless you have >48GB of RAM+VRAM !!


Make sure these settings are set correctly, or else the textures will get messed up:


Optionally could download the block properties file included in the download link and use it to overwrite the same file inside SEUS PTGI shaderpack.
The file adds several fixes, and makes ore crystals glow if you enable "glowing redstone block" or makes the bonus pack scifi panels glow if you enable "glowing emerald block" in the shader options.

no he doesn't really use seus ptgi much anymore but i recommend NostalgiaVX nostalgia KappaPT or kappa (i think patrix also uses these shaders but i'm not sure)

How i can fix this problem.. I donwloaded ur texture pack version 64x and later 128x and i have writing on grass "Enable connect texture" Early I used ur texture and everythink was ok. Only my brother had this problem..

Probably never. I translate what Patrix wrote in this and former post(s): mob textures suck/are really hard. So as long as Patrix can do something else, mobs won't come, and there is always something else to do. I would like to see it too, but it should be good and not like "I have to do it"-quality.

Hey Patrix. I have a question relating to the SEUS shader. Are you still only using his shaders because they seem a little bit out of date. The last update he brought is nearly a year old now and this release seems to start getting quite buggy to a part where you cant use it in normal gameplay anymore. I don't want to ignore all the good features coming with the SEUS Shader in combination with your beautiful resource pack and I'm wondering if you have some alternative Shaders you work with.

Sounds like your PC isn't good enough that it fails to load my pack fully, or you have something that's bugging out your game. Can try enabling connected textures and restart the game, or use a lower res version of the pack.

Hi Patrix! I'm having a little bit of a dilemma. So first of all, I'm using Silders vibrant shaders at the moment. When I'm playing, the grass says enable connect texture, however, when I do that, everything turns purple/black checkerboard blocks rendering the game unplayable. What should I do so that the grass doesn't say "enable connect texture"? TIA

Sounds like you're either using another pack that's changing colors, or your pc failed at loading my pack correctly, or you didn't have the right settings, all of which aren't fault on my end. Because I've tested all the packs and they all worked fine, and it did for other people too.

anyone else's carpet/wool/concrete just white when theyre supposed to be colored? edit: i went in and looked at the optifine color maps for some of the blocks and the color defaulted to ffffff for some reason. Note: the colormaps in the basic pack are set to the proper color, but there are colormaps in the other packs are the ones set to ffffff, and when changing those, the problem fixes for those specific blocks; however not all the colored blocks that are having problems are listed in these packs. Note 2: when running only the basic pack, the colors are once again set to white, so the problem lays with the basic pack.
