Moving to the new apartment has gone smoothly. I still have boxes left to unpack, but I've settled in to my new space and have my office and recording studio set up. Unfortunately, I took too much time to settle in and not work on videos, so I lost all momentum on the Big 3 video and have put that on the backburner. Instead, I'm currently working on a video about the demons in Frieren that I think should be out in a few weeks at most.
I wanted to move to give myself a fresh start and a push to change. Mostly for my personal life. But also for the channel. I want to revamp it. So I'm officially announcing:
Lextorias 2.0
What is this brand new version of the channel? Well it's basically me taking YouTube seriously and committing myself to working harder to make more stuff. That's it.
I want to upload at least 1-2 main videos a month. And I want them to be substantial videos. Either full video essays or more highly produced side content. Perhaps a reworked version of the anime randomizer? And on top of that, I want to start making videos on the second channel and maybe a few livestreams here and there. Also some bonus stuff here on the Patreon to make your $1/month more worth it. I haven't figured out the specifics. But I want to make more.
I'll keep you updated when I have an official plan in place. My number one goal now is just overcoming my laziness and treating YouTube as a real job that I'm passionate about. Because it's still what I love doing, more than anything.

I really liked the video essays about random stuff, like the controller one or the piracy one. I found those kind of assays the most interesting. But i'll watch whatever you decide to put out. i actually really enjoy listening to your videos, The pacing is great and your voice is really nice to listen to imo.

2024-10-28 16:05:52 +0000 UTCI would personally also prefer longer 90 minute videos instead of a three parter. i would rather wait a month or 2 for example and i can decide when to watch it, sometimes i have time to binch, sometimes i'll watch snippets. but i would prefer to be able to choose it my self instead of having to wait for the next part >.<

2024-10-28 06:50:34 +0000 UTCI donβt want to split up my videos if they are one contained story. Longer videos do better anyways, and youtube tends not to like part 2s. I do always want to try making shorter content, but these things balloon out of control

2024-10-28 06:49:35 +0000 UTCif you're looking to take youtube more seriously and are looking to upload more videos, I personally would have no issue watching your longer video essays as multi part videos. Instead of one 90 minute video every month, 3 30 minute videos ~once a week could play nicer with the algorithm perhaps?

Just make sure you are not too critical of your own work please. I would not like to see you lose yourself in perfectionnism and be overworked. Your content is already fire π₯. Maybe you could also do like you did at the end of one of your randomiser videos and pick randomly an anime suggested by your fans.
