I always saw the priest and Raziel's relationship like that of a parental figure, but the dad is too fixated about the morality and appearance of an issue to deal with the somewhat jumbled way their "child" tries to reach out for help. That they both mean well by their words, but they can't fully grasp the situation at hand or how to talk about it directly. Admitting that he can't kill the demon because it makes him question his morals is a difficult thing for Raziel to bring up at all, and years of having to shove things down and just try to deal with it on his own because he's supposed to be this superior life just highlights his aggressive humanity. "I dunno, not our problem" somehow doesn't fix those issues.

Anyways the discord has chosen that Gauzier's host's name is Owen. And yes he's downplaying abuse working with an asshole like Gauzier under an umbrella that it's normal and basically everyone here has issues. Yippee!
