I know it isn’t super better, but Porchay and Kim’s age difference isn’t that big. Chay is supposed to be 17/18 and Kim is 22. So their issue is less about age and more about Kim’s deception and false intentions. Also…I love Vegas…. And yall should watch the performance of Why Don’t You Stay, the OST for KinnPorsche. It’s the most gorgeous ost that has been made in my opinion. It’s sang by Jeff Satur, the actor who plays Kim.

-Haha, well… Alex summed up their relationship perfectly with "He said he loved him then slapped him then wanked him off!”😂😂 -Behind the scenes footage of this ep, Apo (Porsche) explained his character’s pov in the last scene. He basically said that since they cannot communicate verbally, also Kinn was not in a mood to listen and comprehend, Porsche tried to communicate with Kinn physically to assure him that he is here with him and loves him. -Vegas, the master manipulator, knows how to mess with K&P. He has a certain pattern so far. First he finds a way to get close to P, then he messes with P’s head, throwing a bait at him about Kinn (a little information about how terrible and paranoid he is) to create doubts in P’s mind then in contrast, he paints himself as the nice/stable guy and finally makes his moves. It drives Kinn crazy because they know each other very well, he knows Vegas’ ways. But since he couldn’t keep his composure, he steps right into Vega’s trap and seems like a paranoid, just as Vegas wants him to act. He lashes out at P because he thinks Porsche enables Vegas and that is dangerous in many ways. On the other hand, Porsche is not interested in Vegas romantically at all (he even looked bored in the club as talking with Vegas) he is in love with Kinn and he is sure about his feelings and he told Kinn that he is the first man he has been with so he gets offended when Kinn reacts like this. Now… a proper talk might make all those things clearer to make their relationship better but well… When did a complicated love story is handled with talk?😅 -Last scene is one of the most intimate and raw sex scenes I have watched. It has little nudity, we mostly see actors’ faces so we see the desperation, the connection, arousal, love and holding onto each other. It shows that you don’t necessarily need nudity to make a scene hot and effective. And thanks to the mirror, we see both of their emotions. It was also a visually gorgeous scene. -Another thing about the last scene, if we assume that P believes in Vegas about Kinn killing his ex. That means he has an idea what Kinn is capable of, what he can do to him yet he still didn’t hesitate to get back at Kinn with it to hurt him back. He is not afraid of Kinn, he never really does imo. Whatever Kinn throws at him, Porsche throws it back. He really matches Kinn’s freak😅

THIS was the scene I was wanting to watch, you two watch, the most and you did not disappoint me😁. Talk about blowing open the closet door😂. Right?! Aren’t I right? Pushing that envelope to its fullest and the world is just a little more open for us all because of their courage. So accepted that they went to 5 countries on a big fan tour for this series. The KinnPorsche Send Off event, before they did the tour, raised well over $100k US in their auction of KP memorabilia and signed costumes etc. All the $ went to an AIDS foundation to help patients with their expenses🥰. A world tour stage performance that sold out where ever they went. The biggest convention centers and performance venues. That’s why they are now international super stars. THAT courage to be that open and vulnerable, on camera, in such a scene🥳. 🌈💛💥🧡💥❤️💥💜💥💙💥💚❣️ Please watch it again, alone, and really absorb the emotions. Tell us what else you picked up on… in the scene I mean, …🤨. 😁 I now realize I loved the actors so l came to love the story. A story line that has all kinds of… 🤔 challenges? 😁 I think you over thought our surprise at you picking this one as your first BL. It’s not because it “bad” but because it’s unique, intense… and absolutely ground breaking. Most entertaining 1 hour 23 minutes I’ve had all week. Thanks again😘😘

This isn't really important for the story but "Wang" means "king" in Chinese and Korean (maybe other languages as well?) I believe that's why Wang and Wong are fairly common Asian surnames. That's also why a gangster might choose the name Big Wang.

I won't spoil anything but I feel the overwhelming need to explain Kim because I think his part is only so confusing because his scenes are so spread out and not super dialogue heavy. So first, Kim doesn't live at home with the rest of his family. Its implied in a few scenes so far like the one with Tankhun by the pond and Korn's reaction and comments when Kim was in his office. There's also a lot of tension between him and Korn and the "murder board" we saw behind Kim's portrait is centered on Korn. Kim is sneaking around at Chay's but he was also snooping in Korn's office. You might have also missed that Kim is a bit mean and dry with his humor. He makes fun of Big in his first scene with a snide remark and is poking fun at Chay in this episode. I don't believe he has any feelings towards Chay here but rather finds it amusing to tease him. Anyways I think thats all so far. I just think Kim is a really interesting character and I wish there was more of him (not to mention Jeff Satur is both talented and beautiful so that doesn't hurt).

Before they had sexual tension and that broke but then the tension remained due to what happened that night and with the punishment. Porsche thinking Kinn didn’t care for him turned into resentment. Now he knows he does, so he is his best boy but they were keeping it PG until the tension and horniness won the concern for his health lmao

Interesting 👀 I love the religious symbolism of this episode, especially considering they are going against the Italians. Vegas is the City of Sin and he dresses in red, he seduces Porsche. Yet his salvation in Kinn is damnation at the same time. He is no angel, just the chosen devil. The lighting at the end, the bathroom in the same green lighting as Mary. Green which is envy and probably Vegas’ biggest sin so far.

Its also a deliberate juxtaposition. Vegas and Kinn have competed with each other since they were born. Kinn has his way, and Vegas (to compete) does the opposite. Its why Kinn is such a hardass and Vegas comes off as the bestie you always wanted...until you piss him off that is.

To give context, I believe the ages of the characters on the show are: Tankhun: 30 Kinn: 27 Pete: 26 Vegas: 24 Porsche: 23 Kim: 22 Chay: 18 Jeff, who played Kim, was 27 when it was filmed, while Barcode, who played Chay, was 17, so the actors looked like they had more of an age gap than the characters were meant to. Let me know if I got any of the ages wrong!

Last of all, for Josh : the actor Barcode was in fact younger than the character he played . Chay is about to enter university, so he is around 18 , Kim is/ was a senior student there ( Wik is clearly introduced as such at the fan event to the crowd of students ) and he is around 22 or 23, there is an age gap of 4 to 5 years in the story . But as actor Jeff is older than his character Kim, this gap appears more important than it really is . The production toned down or took out the shocking parts in the novel as regards Kim and Chay .

On a funny note : as usual, plenty of strong and sustained metaphors, visual hints and clues, iconic lines, jokes, moments of truth or shifting of characters ' emotions in the dialogues that could be easily missed . Alex spotted the one million dollar question in episode 7 : but how on earth does Vegas know about Porsche's secret dream ?? You both missed the Easter egg, although it was VERY visible . Porchay is wearing a SKAM France season 3 grey Tshirt , or an imitation , as it says : Vendredi 19h 18 .

One short reminder : Vegas (and his young brother Macau : when in doubt Alex, remember they are named after famous casinos) are Kinn's two cousins . Their father Khun Gun ( the scarf lover ) being the younger of two sons can only lead the Minor Family . It's a harsh competition between siblings . Khun Korn, the eldest, boss and head of the Main Family, has three sons : Tankhun, then Kinn, then Kim . The reason why Kinn is the heir is because Tankhun is not right in the head, as traditionally only the eldest inherits the family business . It's a Thai mafia family, they deal with the Italian mafia (and the Chinese), so they imitate some of their customs, like bearing a ring as the symbol of leadership that everyone must obey and be loyal to ( the Pope used to have his ring kissed for centuries), giving the kiss of death to a traitor, speaking Italian (riposa in pace ) , calling a Mafia boss "Don" ( Marlon Brando in "the Godfather" was Don Vito Corleone) . "Don" and "Khun" are titles of respect.

Kinn probably in a private clinic or even inside the compound, I’m not so sure. Kinn and Vegas are first cousins! Kinn is the heir to the major family, the future big boss. Vegas is the heir of his father, who is Korn’s younger brother, and he will be the boss of the minor family, but ALWAYS beneath Kinn. He is obsessed with Kinn and Kinn even tells Porsche. So yeah, there’s tension, not necessarily sexual, but also Freud would love to meet Vegas, I’d say. Porsche was straight pretty much. Kinn was his awakening. I feel he was pretty open and affectionate either way with men, but he never considering going all the way before Kinn. Kinn is openly gay. Everyone knows, including his dad, his uncle (one of the reasons he doesn’t respect Kinn as a future leader, most likely), all the bodyguards, etc. Even the other gang leaders know. Don, the Italian guy, even mocks Kinn in the first episode asking if he was still fond of gelato with a licking motion). Also, Kinn is injured lmao The knife metaphor was Kinn as the knife and the apple is love. Korn had a lucky knife who was sharp, but his love for his wife, cutting her apples, made the knife useless. That’s why he mentioned Kinn had gone soft in the eyes when he dated his ex. Love makes Kinn, the weapon, the sharp knife, rusty. Vegas wearing red and having the red bike as a gift right after Korn talked about the apple. Amazing symbolism. He is attracting Porsche with an apple of his own, the color red, a very known story with an apple and a snake. Edit bc i Had to finish the episode later: Porsche is all in because he cares for Kinn now. He had no true moral impediment. These people are all mafia, so they are not innocents either. It’s kill or be killed in this business. Don had sent the guys to kill Kinn and the dude from the casino worked for him. Don is probably the leader of the Thai branch of the Italian Mafia. The shot of the Virgin Mary, witnessing the debauchery. Who is the country you first associate with catholicism? Italy. Don says Amen when he is about to die. Your faces during the last scene lmao The BTS for shooting that scene is really good. The lighting is just incredible, the mirror, their chemistry. Probably one of my favorite scenes.

Perth Nakhun (plays Ken, one of the bodyguards in KP) mentioned in one of his YouTube videos that anytime the actors are in suits or layers, they are probably dripping with sweat from the heat. No wonder I frequently see the actors in BTS videos using those little handheld fans!

I loved the cut from a warehouse full of dead bodies to a party. They seem consistent in their view that 'we're all gonna die, so lets party whenever we can.' And nobody seems particularly bothered or sad about death. It's just the cost of doing business. Right? And that attitude rings true for this setting and is something I really found more disturbing than worrying about Porchay's age...for me anyway. On a more frivolous note, I'm always amazed at how often these guys wear leather pants. I've worn them before and they are hot...I can't imagine how miserable they'd be in the Thai heat, no matter how good the main family's air conditioning might be. Or how good they look in them (and Jeff Satur is just about the prettiest man I've ever seen). Fashion is all about suffering, yes?

The most interesting takeaway from this episode that I got was the differences Vegas is intentionally displaying between the Major and Minor family. The head of the minor family is eating with the guards, they wear more colourful and personable attire, they mingle amongst the masses, even the lower classes, their staff can eat whenever. Vegas is clearly trying to show Porsche that it's better on the other side, that Vegas and the minor family are more down to earth and more liked than the major family, that they have more respect not based in fear. But while it's a very deliberately constructed appearance, it's also setting up the theme of being untouchable vs. creating bonds, which we see reflected in the scene between Kinn and his father-- His dad tells him he sees he's acting like he did when he was with his ex (in love), and tells him the analogy of how he used to use a knife to cut an apple for his wife, but that affectionate gesture lead to the weapon becoming rusty. So...don't act with love, it weakens you. Don't form those connections, it makes you soft. Whereas here, Vegas is showing how close he is with his brother, his guards, and even the common people around the minor family. It's all about connections. All of this becomes pretty ironic later on, but this episode really shows the differences between the major and minor families.

‘You never know what’s going to happen’: you’re absolutely right and although you’re getting a lot better at seeing round corners-especially Josh- I think you’re still going to be blind-sided because the writing and the calibre of the acting is set up to play around with the viewer’s perception. I think this episode is really exploring how Kinn still can’t trust anyone, based on his previous experience and relationships and he’s still struggling to believe that Porsche can be any different and any more trustworthy, although it’s clear that he wants to believe in him, represented by his giving Porsche his ‘lucky’ gun. Vegas is clearly the toxic character in all this, as you rightly say, but Vegas is so much more than just plain evil-and Pete is so much more than just a lousy spy, too. No-one is just a one-dimensional cypher, including Kim. Everyone in this show seemingly has an angle and this just keeps you trying to second-guess what is going to unfold next. I am glad you love it, guys. I love it too. Jury’s still out on how you’re going to process the rest of the show.

Right before he cut the apple there were a few seconds where he said: Kinn, last time you had this soft look in your eyes was with your previous boyfriend, and then he said loving your mom dulled my knife, you should let go of your feelings for Porsche.

I still don't like Vegas, and that torture scene first time I watched I wasn't sure if he could have pulled out a tooth. And his whole attitude sometimes, and other things he's done. He is a red flag. I understand if you dislike the potential thing between Porschay and Kim they seem to hint at, but Porschay is 17/18(even if he is prescious and must be protected), and Kim is around 22 or something, so not that far an age gab, and the legal age of concent in Thailand I think is 15/16(it's 15 here in Denmark too, but you can't marry until you are 18) so, but still I get your concerns, cause at first it seems like Kim is trying to work his way around him to try to get the information he need/ potentially have something on Porsche(cause he might think he is the mole or something), and things can still be frowned upon even if it isnt illegal.

The only problem I have with subtitles is that I often miss subtle facial expressions the first time though. In that last scene, when Kinn kicks everyone out, the look on Porche's face is, 'Yay, my man's here to rescue me.' Which slowly falls away when Kinn starts throwing accusations. Great acting. 👍🏾

About Chay: he's "technically" an adult, as he's 18, so there is no "legal" issue, aside from the age gap. Chay's shrine to Kim is just a visual aid showing how much of a fan he was of Kim. Chay has rose-colored glasses on when it comes to Kim, as any young person might when they get to spend time with their celebrity crush. So you cant fault him for falling for the delusion, especially since Kim isnt drawing any particular boundaries yet.

Yay was so excited for this reaction and you guys did not disappoint. Vegas is a literal walking red flag but his actor Bible is a super green flag of a human so its funny to see the contrast. Fun fact is that when Porsche slaps Kinn at the end Apo actually was slapping Miles pretty hard, that was some method acting. Kinn's actor even talked about how after a few takes his ears were ringing. Would recomend you guy check out the behind the scenes of this show in you own time, its give a lot of insight into the characters and scenes :)

Also Porschay is about 18 (about to go into uni) and Kim is supposed to be like 20 (2/3 year uni) I think. So not great I agree. But also age of consent is 15/16 in Thailand so they do look at this differently then us westerners I assume.

Bible (the actor who plays vegas) was raised bilingual, went to an international school etc. He speaks both english and thai but his english is actually slightly better. Similar to Perth (who plays one of the bodyguards) who is half Australian. He was raised in Australia so English is also his first language. That's why they both have some of their lines in English.
